you will see my posts about tendonitis, soreness, rotator soreness.....with mild weights. i have been taking beta blockers 50mg a day for a long time(steadily for 5-7 yrs. If i lost 30lb of water and fat my doc said i wouldnt need it. which i concluded on my own anyways. My blood pressure is as good as my diet. if i get aggravated or stressed it goes up some. sitting here chillin at my house i would get like a 135/78 or something usually. basically the water and weight would get rid of the (small) issue.
I havnt been able to stick with weights for a few years. ....not because of lack of wanting to commit.
IS IT THE DAMN BETA BLOCKER?????

you dont think it could be a contributor? and say it were contributing, it wouldnt cease after a few months of not taking it would it? NO i'm not going to stop without doc. consultation but hypothetically?
Anything is possible, but it's probably not the likely cause. However, there are plenty of things in medicine, medication side effects, etc. that I haven't learned yet. Unfortunately no one person can know it all about medicine.

i just got off the phone with my doc. Her first reaction was wow!
It could very well be alot to do with it. so no more lowpressor. if my BP gets up, she will put me on something else.
I just reviewed G&G (the pharmacology "bible") as well as a Google search. No case reports or any reference to metoprolol causing tendonitis.

I think before you ditch your blood pressure medicine, you should probably figure out what is really causing your tendonitis. It doesn't appear that metoprolol is the cause.

oh no, I'm sure the major majority of the cause was myself being a jackass when i was younger with AAS and falling into the "lifting too much weight too soon" . I'm Not blaming the lowpressor. but after reading alot about the things it can contribute too regarding joint pain, and other stuff, I have to wonder if it maybe didnt contribute a little extra aggravation. and as long as "joint pain" is on the list of sides, i cant have it in my diet. As i discussed with my doc, I monitor my pressure at least a half dozen times daily anyways just because im like that. and with ANY issues i will get back on meds that minute. Trust me i'm not taking any chances with prolonged HBP
