hey did i stumble across something great for me?

hey kak - two main things are up now - one being my little pee pee.
seriously though, I'm relaxing at home after a "near firing" incident at work.
I'd like to say it was b/c I got caught having sex with the water cooler - but it was a source control fuck up that broke a deployment for a huge demo.
the bad side - people weren't happy at first
the good side - the reason it disappeared was b/c I fixed a whole bunch of stuff and now it is faster (someone else wrote some REALLY shitty code)

that and my blender literall blew up last night, so I need another one of those.

now I'm going to program a fake/automated user of the site using Perl and Markov chains/matrices

please do kak... :) i don't know if i should be doing the lower carb yet since i'm still trying to get some more mass on me but anyway...

lol @ happy

lemme guess...it was PVCS. Or do you mean you promoted the wrong code?

worse than just promoted - I went to the source control guy and told him XYZ was fucked and didn't work (it was really poorly written and I'm surprised it ever worked at all - I think it might not have and just built only - it even had like embedded sql in it, but even that was wrong - tried to dynamically grab the database name and the table names from that - localization stuff - but it was implemented wrong, so it failed on deployment) and I was going to rewrite it, so can he drop it.
what I didn't clarify was that I meant "eventually drop it" when I had finished the code. well... he "trusted me" since I usually don't fuck up and just wiped it out.
so then all hell broke lose.
we have a huge demo to our board of directors, at the time there was a demo to.... a certain large telcom company, and it was all hosed.
so I had some stuff saved and we put that back in, but it was broken too - and for some reason the old several revisions back stuff didn't work either... that's where I'm confused - it didn't work on my system, worked on others. we get rid of it, bring the same stuff back, no longer works on anyone's system.

anyway, long story short, I rewrote about 20 classes in a few hours and then had lots of pressure to get it all working again. it was working late last night, and then somehow broken again this morning.
last I checked, it is working again.

futher muck.

hell, if I were in charge, I'd fire me. but I hope they don't.

rewrite 20 classes in a few hours? And they compile? And the SQL pulls the right data? And you promoted the code to production? You are da shiznit!

They should be glad they have you to save their butts, dangit!

seriously, I'm usually pretty good and I assume that is why they didn't fire me.
just a temporary lapse in sanity and reason...

they didn't compile the first time - had 14 errors - corrected them, then all was good.

and I thank you for being nice, but I only had the opportunity to save their butts b/c I fucked it up in the first place (although my new code is a lot faster than the old - probably mainly due to stored procedures instead of poorly written embedded sql)

smalls.....

Simple carbohydrates-one or two sugar units(fruits, vegetables, milk, sugar)

Complex carbohydrates-multiple sugar units (bread, cereal, rice, pasta, potatoes, corn, and peas, dried beans, peas, and lentils)

Basically...you get more bang for you buck with the complex, which is good if you need lots of stored gylcogen for future use.

But if you trying to cut down on carbs, best way to go is high fiber, low carb value sources. Like BKMom said....FIBROUS VEGGIES. If you must have breads, rice, etc, try to make them as whole as possible (with most fiber...ei. brown rice/whole wheat/sweet potatoes), and also limit their use for just the morning, giving your body the ability to burn them off through the day.
