Hepatitis Shots ....

Ok, I'm supposed to do an internship this summer in a dental office which is imperative for me applying to dental school ...

unfortunately i'm required to have the full regimine of the Hepatitis shots in order to work in there for insurance purposes.

I've had the first 3 months of the shots, but i lack 3 months which means i can't start there until the first of july pretty much.

what i'm wondering is what i'll have to show them in order to prove that i've had all the shots, and what i can do in order to make it look like i've had the full regimine ...

it really won't have any effect on anything, just when i start ...

anyone here in the field or have a nurse/someone who would know ...

Well if you're going to dental school, you should know that if you're going to work around blood, you need to be vacinated for hepatitis. Also a bad idea to start trying to lie about medical records if your going to dental school... Just wait until you've had the shots and are immune.

True, i won't apply to dental school this fall however, and i have had 3 months of my shots. They didn't tell me i had to have them until 3 1/2 months ago, and i had already had this internship planned for ages.

so if i don't get this i have no job lined up for the whole summer.

I was just thinking that I believe they do the 6 months, becuase it takes longer to get immunity for some people. Same reason they do boosters, although not everyone needs them.

I don't know if taking the immunizations will mess with the results, but you could check to see if you can get tested for hep antibodies, and possibly get a waiver to work while continuing your treatement if they are present...
