New member
i have been traning my ass off for probally around 6 years...but im looking for some info and help with training.... my buddy just started a new program that looks lik this:
Day1: Chest/Bis with emphasis on chest and touching on bis
Day2: Full Legs with light shoulders
Day3: Back/Tris with emphasis on back and touching a bit on tris
Day4: Bis/Chest with emphasis on bis and touching up on chest
Day5: Shoulders heavy
Day6: Tris/Back with emphasis on tris and touching back
Day7: off
and then repeat
I have never really seen this but he has been seeing good results lately...so input on that would be nice

My training is as follows for MYSELF
Day1:Chest
Day2:Legs
Day3:Shoulders and Traps
Day4:Bis/Tris
Day5: Rest
and then repeat

any input on either training method would be alout of help...even posting your own workout routines would be apprecaited...thanks for all the help guys

Those aren't programs. Those are lists of bodyparts.

Read the Training Vault sticky, particularly pay attention to Madcow's geocities webstie. Read everything there.

It's impossible to say whether your friend is overtraining without seeing his workout. I'd suspect he's not training hard enough; his days 4 & 6 are a waste of time.

Your routine seems to neglect the lats and posterior chain entirely and you're giving an entire day to arms.

Many here have found it much better to think in terms of lifts and muscle systems rather than bodyparts. A good starting point is to incorporate a squat, a press and a pull into every workout and try to make progress in the lifts over time. Your body can't help but respond to the stimulus provided you feed it enough since that's how we evolved.

As someone above mentioned, take a look at Madcow's Geocities Site.
