Help with my first cycle

Hey guys, ive been thinking about doing a cycle for a while and decided now's the time, im 190 lbs and im looking to gain about 15-20 lb with Deca/test, any suggestions on a good cycle/dosage and PCT? thanks

My advice;

Don't do decca.

Don't expect to gain 15-20 pounds.

Do more homework.

Well obv Nelson's right. Not surprisingly either. He can be a bit terse when he considers something obvious tho. For that reason i'll just elaborate a little bit. I trust he'll correct me if i'm reading him wrong.

For a first run u should stick to one compound only because u have no way of knowing how u'll react. That way if u encounter any problems u'll know the source instantly and be able to take corrective action. Most people here would say stick to test only for a first time (Nelson would most likely say primo).

Another reason not to do deca is subject to debate. Nelson have numerous times argued that the bloat and the severity of the shutdown associated with it
makes deca an outdated compound. I share this view. Many people disagrees however.

Now the need for u to do more research is obv. 'nuff said.

+2 great post rambleon,you're entirely right about sticking to one compound on a first cycle and keep the dosage low like 250mgs of testosterone enanthate a week that way the sides will be minimal and post cycle therapy will be a breeze.

I strongly disagree with nelson's take on deca durabolin,not everyone gets shut down from it............more to the point I,being one of the ones that don't.however it has no place in a first cycle at all,admittedly.

You can easily gain 15-20lbs of BODY WEIGHT on any cycle. There is no gurantee that is going to be muscle.

I can tell you that 4 lbs of muscle gained looks a hell of a lot better in the mirror than it does just seeing the scale number move up 20 lbs.

What is your BF like, how long you been training, diet - what is it like - this will either make you or break you.
 
Not trying to hijack your thread here, this question will probably help you too. I'm planning on running test E next year at this time (first real cycle, i use anavar every so often), as long as my training and diet are completely in check. I was looking for some opinions on dosage, I was thinking somewhere in the range of 250-500/week, just not sure whether to stay at low end or go with 500.

Stats- 25yrs, 6'1", 215lbs 15%bf training for 6yrs and been researching about it for 2yrs.
 
The guys are right.
Its basic science.
Run one compound and see how it effects you.
The next time you can add another. Then you can compare the results with what you had the first time.
Run 250mgs of test for ten weeks.
Have a hcg/clomid. You should know why you have it and how to use it too.
The results you have are a direct result of what you eat.
You should know what to eat, how much to eat, when to eat it and why you are eating it.
A good example of why all that is important is I can run only 250mgs of test at 240+ lbs and still gain more lbm on a cycle then guys that do a gram of test (9/10).
Its all knowledge. Listen, learn and study. Its your body you are playing with.
I will also tell you 95% of the information you get from guys at the gym is dead wrong!
Find a vet here and tap their mind and do things right. You only get one body in this life. Make is last a long, healthy life!
 
Thanks for the info, and i didnt just mean 15 lbs of anything, i obviously want muscle. As for my training and diet, ive been working out for about 3 years now, on average about 5 days a week. i'm not on any specific diet plans tho, i get a solid 3 large meals a day with some smaller ones in between if i can, and i also try to get at least 150g of protein per day. So if i did run a cycle of testosterone, what would be good dosage/etc. for my first time?
