RADAR

Used the same stuff. It works.

RADAR when you said that I smiled, my mom bought me that stuff when I lived at home. She said it would work, I laughed and said yeah right, just like the bar soap under the matress right? But to my surprise it did.

goto prolonews.com and see if you can find a prolo doc near you. I have had it done many times on many injuries it works great and is a permanent fix.

What kind of pain is it..ie where is it located? You could have some form of tendonitis in it. I had an ACL reconstructtion 10 years ago when I was in HS and I often get pain when my quadricep muscle gets too tight. Lots of stretching and ice helps along with the supplements that were mentioned above(MSM,glucosamine, etc)

If your still having pain then there is a high likelyhood the ACL never fully healed. Prolotherapy is designed to strengthen and thicken injured tendons/ligaments, its a permanent fix. Many people who have had prior surgeries find themselves with long term aches and pains due to lack of healing, mainly due to the use of ice and anti-inflamatories. Tendons/ligaments are comprised of a lot of water, putting ice on these area freezes the water causing stiffness. It also reduces bloodflow to the injury thereby reducing healing etc. Many people simply treat the pain and by doing so prolong or eliminate healing.

I specifically asked him where the pain was..I probably should have said that my pain is above the kneecap..nothing to do with the ACL really. More the quadricep tendon..however I have a feeling that my previous injury has made me more susceptible to other injuries to that knee. That was what I was implying before and should have said. Sorry for the confusion. But I agree if he's still having pain in the ACL then it did not fully heal and he needs to take different measures than merely icing and supps.

I was having similar pain in my knee but never had surgery. I did do some damage to the ligaments and tendon (no tears) but did have a tiny bit of scar tissue. My Dr is up on newer forms of treatments, etc. He gave me some injections with something similar to lidocaine directly into the scar tisse. The scar tissue broke down and I went pain free.
