Help my friend get his car stolen

A friend of mine needs his car stolen/destroyed so that he is no longer responsible for the payments. He needs some good, effective ideas.

Current ideas are:

1) leave it in Mexico
2) put an M 1000 in it

No offense but if you destroy a car to collect the insurance money you are a scumbag.

Tell him to be civilized and try selling it, instead of becoming a criminal and stealing money.

I agree...insurance fraud = scumbag. No offense but this is why insurance is through the roof for everyone. Just tell him to try to resell the car or deal with the consequence of not being able to make the payments.

There's no easy exit.
If he's "upside down" on the car (owes more than he can get), and wants to protect his credit, there still will be some final adjusted payment to deal with.
