Help me with tramadol problem

I have had problems with opiates in the past, mostly with hydrocodone and darvon. I was able to quit completely for over a year but now I'm abusing tramadol. Tramadol may seem like a drug that's "not so serious" but I'm telling you the shit can be addicting for a previous opiate user. Basically I'm ordering from one of those online pill mills where you never even speak to a doctor, you just fill out a form and tell them what drug you want. I'm getting 180 tabs of tramadol per 30 days. When I get my pills I go on a binge. To get high it takes about 30 tablets in a day. So I go on a 6 day binge, then I crash. The physical withdrawal is mostly constipation but mentally I get real depressed. My mood is usually starting to stabilize by the time it comes to order my next bottle of pills. I always keep thinking that I will simply not order again but I cannot resist the urge to "fly high for a week". Basically as long as this website exists, I'm going to keep buying the pills.

Would I be a bad Bro if I reported the doctors and pharmacy to the DEA to see if they can be shut down? If what they are doing is legal they are certainly narrowly within the law.
 
I just started tramadol & mobic for joint pain. Never took enough of it to get high. Never been much of a opiate fan. The peeps I knew that like opiates were usually pretty pissed when the doc wrote them Ultram (tramadol).

Sounds like you have to get a handle on your addiction. Reporting the online pill machine won't help much if you just find another source.

I agree with Pick. Opiate addiction is the hardest addiction in the world to kick. YOU CANNOT do it alone. You need to seek medical help either through your health insurance or go to an outpatient facility. You may even need impatient treatment. Reporting the pill mill will do nothing , Like Pick3 said< "you will find another one" get a handle on your addiction. I am going to PM you my number if you ever need to speak to me about anything, especially USING, call me.

No Brainer

when you get in the clear next time around order time, just think about how lame the crash is, and what you miss around you.

Also maybe make a thread when you get the urge and has someone phych you out.

Also I dont know if you believe in God, but if you do, its ok to ask for help if you are trying to be good.
 
I agree too. Confront your problems and stop being weak to a silly little pill.
 
Get medical professional help - don't go to a message board. You have a real problem so you need to see medical professionals who are trained in this to help you.

Tramadol is on a very thin line when it comes to being classified in some states as a nonnarcotic. I was hooked on them cause I couldnt take hydro's. I slowly reduced my intake from about 20 a day to being off of them and finally being happily hooked on ativans.

This... I didnt want to post anything because there is really not much that can be done at a distance, however bakemeacookie has a very good point in reminding you that a professional is needed in serious situations such as these.
 
OK, my re-order date was 2 days ago. I have managed to hold off so far. I'm craving it though.

A good thing is that my doctor prescribed abilify to take with paxil. The paxil wasn't doing anything even at 80 mg. The abilify has made me feel normal. Maybe if my mood stays good I will be less tempted to take tramadol.
 
If you CAN go longer than a day without RUN!
Fuck that shit, you'll only eventually run into stronger stuff from someone you know and it's a vicous cycle that's sooooo hard to escape.

When you stop ordering from them....they will call you...to see if you want to order more. They will call a lot.

Turn them in. May not do much good, but still. The whole thing dusgusts me.

(I never used tram, but I know this from someone close to me)
 
Its not the pharmacies fault. If you dont want to goto a rehab clinic or doctor you should look up some NA meetings in your area and get some help.
 
While I agree it isn't their "fault" per se, I have first hand witnessed the sleezy pushing of borderline controlled substances by online pharmas. Multiple calls per week asking, are you sure you don't need more tram? Are you SURE?

It's fucking disgusting.

How about you take them as prescribed rather than tossing 30 pills down your throat a day? We get it, you're addicted. Gray area pharmacy or not, you are the one to blame here. Alcoholics don't try to shut down the liquor store, they get help. Rehab bro. I'm not saying this pill farm should be doing what they are doing, but rather than blaming them (you are,) why not just take some responsibility for your actions and get the much needed help you seek.

Just curious. Did you start Tramadol for anxiety/anti-depressant or do you suffer from chronic pain?

I know Tramadol is rarely prescribed for either. If a reputable Dr knew of your previous opiate problems it's doubtful he would have prescribed Tramadol for its anti-anxiety properties.

I know I'm the one buying them but the doctors and pharmacies work together and they know their customers are addicts. They are no different than street dealers. We're not talking about a legitimate medical operation here.

be a man and take responsibility. you're acting like a little bitch. get the help you deserve and starting taking some accountability for your actions.
 
In alot of rehabs/detox clinics, tramadol is what they use to taper you off the withdrawls from heroin/opiates, if that doesn't tell you enough

Maybe on that site change your number and your address or something so they don't contact you

I know exactly how you feel, I didn't use to call my dealer either, he would contact me and push it. Even till this day

Another day without ordering. They just sent me an e-mail reminding me that it's time to order again. I'm not going to do it, not going to do it,not going to....
 
I was craving it last night but I felt good and I went to the gym instead of ordering the pills. My workout made me feel better.

I'd never make light of your predicament, but in my life I've known people with all sorts of addictions. I never known anyone addicted to tramadol.

I've know pill seekers that the first words out of their mouth to a Doctor was "I'm allergic to Ultram" when trying to get pain meds.

Stay strong ... you'll beat this.

It affects different people differently...I've known some tram addicts.

I don't seen any benefit at all so far

Tramadols effect me more than opiates.....they get me wayyyyy higher when i took them for my wrist its weird..i used to be addicted to them purely for the fact the high was way longer than say Percocet....man i wish you the best on coming off them.
