Now I am not a big picture taker so nothing extravagant, I'm also not that tech savy either. I'm looking for something small and durable, and a good deal but not some cheap POS.

Sony cybershot for 180: He loves it.
I borrowed it during trip to see S O, I'M impressed.

Why doin't u invest in a cheap canon rebel SLR and use that for kick ass photography all your life, instead of buyinhg some cheap point and shoot??

An slr is worth it, even if u buy a point and shoot for now. Have far better pictures, especially with depth of field, full control of iris/shutter speed and ability to take live action/concert shots (no 3 second shots).

the difference is maybe $300-$500 between the two. Clearly worth it for a long term purchase for pictures u want to cherish all your life.

I have a Canon 7.1 pixel, forgot which exact model, takes amazing pics though. I did a lot of research before buying it, and the only other one that compared at the time were some of the Sony Cybershots.
