help: how to increase mass

I am 23, male, 5'10", 138 lbs.

I've always eat a lot and i'm starting to get really really depressed about my physique. Believe it or not, I still look like i'm only 17 because i'm so skinny.
So i bought this workbench from Walmart and after only a month of hard work-out, my upper torso's having a shape. lol.

I would gladly appreciate if anyone of you guys suggest a good diet and those special body foods specifically for my body stats.

I wanna go 150-160 (what do you think?) or 160-170 perhaps.

***Is drinking a lot of coke and drinking only about 2 cups of water a day the cause of my undergrowth?

There is no special diet.

Eat lots of potatoes, pasta, steak, everything. Just eat a balanced diet, and eat *more*. Calories in - calories out.

Anthrax said peanut butter, and I agree. When I want to gain weight i eat a lot of peanut butter. In the morning ill make a protein shake with whole milk instead of water. Youre in a much better position than a lot of people on this board. You can eat a ton and not do any cardio!! What a life!if youre 5'10 shoot for about 170, its a decent goal for someone like you. Eat a ton of complex carbs such as pasta, wheat breads etc. Also, youll need more than a walmart bench, but hey its a start. Being depressed also makes one lose weight and appetite. If you have ever broken up with a girlfriend that you liked youll know what I mean:)
 
Start out with creatine and get some MRP's. Get a 42 count box of Myoplex from an online store. I usually shop at saveonsupplements.com b/c they generally have some of the lowest prices. It's a huge pain to search the entire net to save a few bucks on a large order. Take the creatine w/ grape juice, or get a pre-mixed solution like CELL-TECH! haha, j/j, don't get cell-tech. Get Phosphagen HP or something. And get a gym membership!!!!! Up your protein like a mofo and start getting used to eating a can of tuna a day, and a chicken breast every day. Drink milk with your MRP right after your workout, and also take your creatine solution at that time too. If you're not worried about hair loss or any of that crap, try a prohormone cocktail that contains 1-AD and 4-AD. I used MAG-10 once but that shit is muy expensivo. Pretty good gains tho. I've only heard good things about "One+" from none other than the lovely Par Deus right here on this board. You'll make gains using that stuff like a mutha.

Oh yeah, and EAT even when you're not hungry! EAT EAT EAT!!
 
I agree with everyone on the Peantunt butter.Try to eat one or two before bed.Take in lots of protein carbs whatever.But you obviously have a fast metabolism so keep your Carbs up.Also join the gym or the local YMCA or something I use to workout in my house too.But I joined a gym and I've seen better results since,plus I always found it hard to get amped up in my house ,trust me the money for the gym will be worth it.
 
I used to be 5'10 138 also, now I'm 5'10 160, I'm also 23. What I did was I at a lot, even when I wasn't hungry. I ate lots of red meat, tons of hamburgers that I made at home. I ate a little fast food, but not that much, cause I didn't want to gain fat. I ate tons of skippy peanut butter, but its better to get natural peanut butter. I suggest you workout 3 times a week with weights, try to avoid cardio, running, anything that burns calories. Also eat lots of good carbs, proteins, don't eat junk food, it will make you gain bulk, but it will be fat, and its better to eat clean, and gain mostly muscle, at least that's what I did. At 160, I'm not big, but I have some muscles and I'm pretty cut. If you have more questions, just ask me, or others at elite, and we'll help.

I'm 5'9", 22, 166 (as of yesterday).

I used to be 5'9", 17, and 120.

I just ate as much as I could. Whether I was hungry or not. It took a lot of effort, but the weight gain has been worth it. When I first started bulking, my breakfast looked like this:

One bowl oatmeal
One apple
One cup grape juice with creatine
Two slice whole wheat toast with salmon
Two scoops designer

I was pretty damn full after that. It took me an hour to eat all that, but I sat there and ate it all.

I'd eat every couple hours. If I had time I'd eat real food, if not I'd have a couple tablespoons peanut butter and a couple scoops designer.

Stop drinking anything except water. Drink lots and lots of water until your urine is clear.

Join a gym.

Good luck. Your goals are definitely achievable.
