just pay them.

I know it was`nt your debt, but wtf it`s only money.

Give me credit for the MOST ORIGINAL RESPONSE. lol admit it

HEY
if it's only money then why do they spend all their time bugging people about it then????

huh???

I'm telling you, just change your phone number. Soon, they'll sell your name to another collections agency and you'll get the calls all over again. Ad infinitum.

Its not my debt, its a wrong number.

Damn. wtf?

Anyway, To get back at this chick that started all this debt to begin with, Get your(her) personal info from these people and do some more damage.

Hell, open up another account in your(her) name.

Has anyone ever actually got pissed off enough enough where they showed up at the agency and tried to kick some ass

I told a collection agency a few years they were more then welcome to come to my door and try to collect(cell phone dispute)

anyways the annoying thing about them is this unknown name unown number bullshit on caller id, what the fuck do we pay for services like this for if people and companies can hide thier identitiy and that goes for telemarketing bullshit too, should be a law outlawing unknown names and numbers on phones.

If you have to go unknown name number then you must be hiding for a reason and should not be calling in the first place

Man once I was at this strip club and the collection agency guy came right up to the stripper that was delinquent in her bills and fucking yanked the money right out of her garter belt. He said he was "garnering her wages" or some shit.

Aman you should've seen all the screaming and yelling going on that night.

This company keeps calling my house asking for some girl Ive never heard of. They are really aggressive and sketchy, it took me ten minutes to get the company name, its NCO. But I have no clue who she is, its an obvious wrong number but they don't believe me. You cant talk to these people, what should I do?

Actually, depending on the information that they give you, you can sue them. I am very knowledgeable in the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collections Practices Act) and what they are doing is called 3rd party disclosure and its against the law.

Magic words:

If you say, "This is a BUSINESS. Stop calling here."

They have to stop by law.

Collection agencies can call residences till the cows come home. If they are told they are calling a business and that they are not to call there again - they must stop or they can lose their liscense.

Actually its the same for a residence. Its called "being put on notice". If a debtor puts the collection agency on notice not to call ever again, by law they are only allowed one more phone call to tell you what action they are going to take.

You can legally make them contact you via mail only, and stop phone calls totally.

LOL, guess who did their internship at a collections law firm. He He
