HELP Ever been to a live tennis event?

Taking the wife to a major tournament tomorrow for a surprise.
what do I need to bring? what do I need to know?
she's into tennis ..i think it's gay but maybe I'll like it better live.
can you drink beer in your seat?

damn tickets cost more than an NBA game.

I run them.

It's like any other live outdoor event:

- Check the weather before and dress appropriately (bring a poncho of need be)
- Suntan lotion
- Stay hydrated
- They don't have servers that roam the stands like baseball, but they do have concesions stands on the concourse with beer and food, etc

Other than that, just have fun. All food and merchandise is overpriced (obviously). Check the website for restricted items (large backpacks, cameras, umbrellas, etc).

Just be quiet during the points. Sometimes they won't let you into your seats from the concourse til the current game is over.

Yes, go to the ATP tourny every year in Cincinnatti. You can drink in your seats. You don't really need much, a hat perhaps to block the sun and reduce glare. I would take a seat cushion as well, some matches can last 3+hrs. It's an awsome sport bro, once you get a handle on the scoring and rankings, it's quite addicting. I've played my entire life, even maintained a top ten national ranking for a few years, and I'm not gay.

Where's Slat1 at? He was a player for many years as well.

College play is the best, with all the roudy spectators, lol.
