Hello From Folly Island, SC

Beautiful place, one of the barrier islands of South Carolina. People are very helpful and friendly (beyond what I have ever experienced), tons of pretty girls for you college aged guys. Going to a Golds in Charleston tomorrow.

Here is a pic I just took of my balcony (phone cam). I got some camera pics I'll post when I get back. As you can see windy as heck but 80ish, big change from Boston winters.

Wait, this place has unlimited talent? With cute southern accents?

I had MahiMahi tacos last night, 3.95 each, I ate 4....no crap ingredients.

Cheap too.
Cost of living in the south is nothing close to the kind of cities we live in. In Louisville, I can grocery shop for a week for under 100 bones.

I love the south. You can't beat the weather and the wimmenz. Folly Beach and James Island are beautiful. I have some family there and I always love to visit them.

I live in NC and the cost of living is dirt cheap compared to up north (better jobs too).

but it's getting progressively worse every year because so many people keep moving south. Seriously, keep it to yourself.

People are moving up too...everyone from Mexico has learned the secret :worried:

ROFL

You see more of those near the mountains (Asheville is hick central)

I have a vacation home in Hilton Head. I absolutely love it. Only 20 minutes away from Savannah too.

I usually catch the train from DC to Savannah about every other month to spend a week there.

I've been to Hilton Head, which is nice - but a much older crowd there, these are all college peeps for the most part.

Savannah has a much younger crowd. I use my HHI home to relax and entertain friends/family. It has an incredible ocean view.

I dunno depends on what part of Savannah you're talking about
Tybee Island is a good ways away from town and alot of older folks from Atlanta buying homes in that area. Infact alot of outta towners buying homes and flipping them as it's called.

They even put parking meters downtown....
