So I was having a GREAT workout saturday - so great I ended up in the ER. I was doing my last set of dips with 2 plates strapped on and on rep 3 - in the hole - I felt my chest give way where it connects to the shoulder. I think I may have bounced it a bit. I unhooked myself and went to have a look. When I carefully flexed my pec in the mirror I could see a visible dent.
I packed up and went to the ER to see how bad it was. An xray showed that it had not torn from the bone so thats the good news. Just a partial tear. Bad bruise and cant use the arm much without pain
So, I am out of action for a bit - just pisses me off that my enthusiasm about my progress probably did it. very psyched on this day and just attacked. The weights bit back.
and the lesson of the day is?
