he's talented, has more money than god, and gets more ass than a toilet seat. . .wtf could his problems possibly be?? i have none of those things. . .and for the most part i'm basically happier than hell

I am thinking that is because YOU are the center of the universe for your wife and children - they make you feel like you are ten feet tall... and they REALLY mean it?
... just an outsider looking in, so tell me, how close to the mark am I?
but if you are wealthy then you at least have the access to proper treatment and health care. If you are depressed and poor - you pretty much have to suck it up... whatever that means.
I find it ironic that when someone who is in the public eye has effectively concealed their human frailties everyone is so shocked when it is revealed finally that THOSE PEOPLE were human and had problems too. Especially in light of how out and out CRUEL most are to those that share their struggles freely.
Is it true that when you have money you can afford a good therapist.
I don't think it's ironic more than some ppl are a little suprised. When we see a public person always happy, we expect them to really be happy.
But I'm sure his close friends knew he was having a rough go.

when i come home at night, my girls treat me like i'm bon jovi and my son attacks me and bites me in the leg (he's only 22 months old and two-foot-nothing). . .life doesn't get much better than that

My point exactly - when a public person successfully hides their weaknesses and sufferings suddenly everyone is surpized if and when they surface?
WHY IS THAT?
Everyone that exposes their lives gets shouted down, jeered and laughed at so those that TRY to hide their lives do this because......?
But then the *public* is surprized?
Come on.... people can be so silly sometimes. (not you, just talking in general)
WE ALL HAVE WEAKNESSES and events in our lives that trouble us to some extent - maybe the public at large can take this opportunity to look within themselves and perhaps tackle whatever it is IN THEM that causes them to pass judgement and ridicule on those that purposely choose NOT TO HIDE so that others who are going through (whatever it is that is troubling them) wont feel so alone?
... just talkin out m'asshole as usual. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
