Heard Ronnie Talk At The Olympia

What he said at the press conference made perfect sense, he just didnt know how to express it that well. Not everbody can speak like Shawn Ray. The guy is on a low carb diet and 2 days before the biggest show in his career. Give him a break. I have the whole speech on tape and yes it made sense to me, did I laugh? Yes, it was funny the way he said it but it made sense. Also I doubt most of you have made it as far as Ronnie. Shit, he had a dream and accomplished it, how many of you accomplished what you set out in life for? I have met Ronnie a few times and he has spoke to me fine, yeah he has a little southern draw to his talk but thats just an accent. You guys on this board make me laugh, the guy is the best in the sport and everybody drags him down, that was one of the points he made in his speech, everyone feels there is something wrong with the judging of the sport because he won, maybe its something wrong with the condition the competitors come in. Yeah I agree he was off Saturday and so was Kevin, Chris, Shawn, Prince these guys were all soft, Jay had parts of his body that were shreded and parts that were soft too. Just give the guy a break if he cant express his self that well, he isnt a public speaker he is a bodybuilder.

Then he went on to say to Levrone that he never complained even after all the years of not placing well in the Olympia and that complaining gets you no where but where but where you are now, Second Place(said to Kevin). And something like
" You all complain about the judging cause I won Mr. Olympia 3 years in a row, maybe there nothing wrong with the judging and there is something wrong with y'alls bodies"
It was funny the way he said it but lets face it he is not a good public speaker, it doesnt a stupid guy. Like I sated before, everytime I spoke with him I had a normal conversation.
However I do agree that he was off that night.

Off??? That's an understatement. The guy can't be ON period, not the way he's tapped out. It doesn't matter what condition he comes in, at that size his muscles have lost the ability to hold themselves up. What gets me is when people call Ruhl's physique "blocky" and "unsymetrical".........well, Ronnie BLOWS Ruhl away in the "blocky" department. He doesn't even look symmetrical to me anymore, but apparently some people think he is or he wouldn't be Mr. O again. If I compare Ruhls physique to his, I almost like Ruhl's better because he's got Ronnies mass but he's more stretched out looking. Ronnie's upper body just looks like a ball to me anymore. If I had to judge BB today I would lean towards Kevins, Chris's and Jay's physiques.

You gotta give him some props for being Mr. O - but I have to agree that he looked like he was thanking God for the miracle when he beat Cutler... I think he knew it too. He kept either looking down like he knew he wasn't at his best or was just trying to grunt his way through. But it is no small job making it to the top and then staying there....
