Having rotator cuff surgery, getting a tattoo...help!

I will be having sholder surgery in december. I was planning on getting a new tattoo in the area. Were do they go in with the scope for surgery? Wil the incision be big? Will it be hard to do?

First off, what part of the cuff did you tear. You have four muscles in the rotator cuff musculature. Most commonly torn is the supraspinatus muscle which is responsible for arm abduction, (lifting your arm lateraly), like lateral raises. Second, depending on the doctor he will use one of two methods. He will go in anteriorly, or lateraly with the scope to repair the tear. The incision will be so tiny, really no need to cover up with tatoo.
