Have You Ever Met Anyone Famous?

I met Johnny Bench when I was a little kid.
 
I met Beyonce, Kelly and the other chick from Destiny's Child, ran into them in the lobby of Holiday Inn in Toronto. They were nice. :)

That Irish guy from 'The Oz' on HBO... he was in the Red Room in South Beach and he ended up partying with me and my friends all night long.

Christina Agularia and Justin Timberlake had an inpromptu after hours party at a club that I had a an area set aside at and the club owner, who is a good friend, had them come up to that area because it is the best space. They hung out there for an hour or so with their entourages and then left.

Nelly (and crew, I have seen Murphy Lee, Chingy - I am waiting to see J-Kwon now (although I am sure he has been around, he wasn't famous until Tipsey)). Ever couple of months he shows up at the club I am always at - we pretty much go whereever we want there.


Oh and a whole bunch of STL Cards players 'cause my ex-g/f used to date one of 'em.

Coolest celeb I met was Jesse James of West Coast Choppers.

Work security for the Milwaukee Bucks, so have met tons of Basketball players.
Met Aerosmith once. Brett Favre and some of the packers.
Running into Dave Chapelle would be cool.

2nd coolest I ever sat down and talked with was 4 star General Franks during Operation Enduring Freedom.
 
Fergi(does she even count) just a polite intro. Martin Sheen(who is extremely cool and Ralph Machio(karate kid) security on a movie shoot casualties of war If I remember right.
 
Me and my ex GF went to see the Mooney Suzuki play in Hollywood, Kelley Osbourne happen to be standing right next to us. This is when the MTV show wsa in its frist season and she was huge (popular). I begged my GF not to talk to her, but she did anyways and wound up hanging with her all night, she's annoying.

I also did graffitti art when younger. The leader of my graf crew did a lot of promotion and cover work for Cypress Hill, so I've kicked it, smoked out, hung out back stage, and been on stage with them as well as many other underground hip hop "celebrities" that you guys probably haven't heard of (like Kool Keith).
 
Paul McCartney...met hundreds...he was probably the most impressive person Ive ever met...I dont get "star-struck", but meeting him was something special....the influence that this man has had on our world, I think is unsurpassed.....IMO

Do you guys remmeber Mellow Man Ace, sung "Metirosa" (ENglish/SPanish rap song)?

Well, I was doing community service as security at a YMCA's youth party (all 12 and 13 year olds) like 3 years ago. It turns out Mellow got in trouble with the law and as part of his community service he performed there. I felt bad for the guy, hewas trying to rock the party and all these kids had not idea who the fuck he was.
 
I went to high school with a few now famous people.
They were just like every else - but with better jobs.
 
I dated Brittney Spears' cousin's sister in law's daughter's best friend's sister.

On a serious note: I have met several Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Stars @ various functions. I have a pretty impressive autograph collection from Bob Lilly to Roger to Dorsett to Hatcher, Modano and Brett Hull.

My favorite is the 1999 Stanley Cup Game Winning and Cup Winning "No Goal" autographed picture of Brett Hull, which he signed in person @ a party in Valley Ranch.
 
Richard Dean Anderson and Carl Sagan is all I can think of right now.

I've met lots of musicians within the metal scene from around the world, but only Powerslave and a few others would know who they were.

Vince Carter (aka jerkface), Charles Oakley, Tracey McGrady, Ray Allen, Jason Kidd (who for some reason, I thought was a friend of a friend.. d'oh!)

a lot of hockey players and baseball players who started out in the minors here....guys like Edgar Renteria, Charles Johnson, Josh Beckett, Kevin Millar, Derek Lee, hockey players like Olaf Kolzig, Sergei Gonchar, Brendan Witt..

And then we have the Summer fools who hang out here like John Travolta and Kelly Preston, Martha Stewart, etc...

In 1985 i met Martha Quinn from MTV. Believe me, at the time it was a hyuge deal. Dean Reynolds from ABC News is a close friend of my dad's from college.
 
Nelly Furtado -- Singer, won a bunch of grammys a few years ago...has since faded. Very cute and flirty.

Alisha Cuthbert - Actress, currently staring in The Girl Next Door. She was 15 when I met her. Bigtime jailbait.

Prince Charles - aka The Prince of Wales, future king of England. Funny guy...no forget that..HALARIOUS guy. He had everyone cracking up.

Several NHL and NBA player who I don't remember.
 
I had dinner with this actor that looked like a cross between Sylvester Stallone and Elliot from Just Shoot Me when I was in Atlanta...forget his name tho.

Oh, and I saw Jimmie Walker go by when I was in St. Louis.

i got to meet Schwarzenegger at two Arnold Classic's with the VIP pass, also, ran into him in the upper lobby of the hotel at the Convo center, and actually got to speak with him for about 10 seconds before he was hauled away by security. I did security for Toby Keith at a concert when i worked with the Sherrif's Dept., got to hang out with him and the band on the bus. Meet Colin Hay the lead singer of the band Men at Work. Lets see, who else, umm....Ken Griffey Jr., Dave Chappell, many bodybuilders...other sport figures, and Blake Shelton.
 
I meet famous and semi-famous musicians all the time, it's my work.

Thursday I'll be meeting Bachelor Bob Guiney!
 
Doug Flutie use to come over my house quite a bit...told me about his plan to go to the CFL, thought he was crazy...what a fool I was.

I use to date a porn star if that counts...lol (before she hit it big).

Oh yeah, and I trained with Frank Zane briefly

and Marty something or another....3 time Olympic gold medalist for cycling....lol
 
Faaroq, Bradshaw, Julio Dinero.Keith Henderson (Elvis impersonator),The Lynns, and Superman (met him on the roof of a hospital)...I believe Rufus Freightrain Jones use to drive my cab to school. Or atleast he was either kin or knew Rufus really well. I've also touched Big Van Vader's arm before. The best one would have to be when i almost got close to my childhood idol Ricky Steamboat but he moved away. Oh well if i walked just a little faster i would have caught him before he left! Im not really star-struck so it doesn't matter. It was cool though.

I have a friend who claims to have vomited on Sir Anthony at dinner. As much as I'd like to believe him, it's just too ludicrous.
 
Met some famous people yeah. They're just people with jobs that pay more and get more attention and marketing than an accountant might, so I kind of never really acted weird about it.
 
I think there should be a new rule to this thread, would the famous person know you?!
*ie they at least rememeber your name. That would then be impressive depending on who it is..
 
oh forgot... I met Paris Hilton in when I was in South Beach... real brief stalker like encounter... she was in the back of a limo and the window was rolled down.

I agree......the list would be much shorter.

On that list I only can think of two......Toby Keith, because he's in love with my wife's sister (yeah I know he's married) everytime he's in town he calls, and we get to go backstage, hang on the bus etc....it was cool the first time, got to meet Willie Nelson, the last few times have been kinda queer...

And Jesse James, have partied with him countless times, real cool guy, and I was actually amazed he remembered me by name (first and last) of course I have paid him to build three gas tanks for me...

The coolest celeberity encounter I have had was back in 1993, I got to party with Motley Crue.....the best 7 hours of my young adult life. :)

I run into Nelly all the time, (clubs and such) been to a dozen or so parties at his house in Lake St. Louis, and he has come to a buddy of mines house numerous times for parties....(local celeb Grant Wistrom).....I guess I could include Nelly on the list of people that are famous that would know me by name.......but I'd rather not.... :)
 
too many to list - mostly rappers though (Jay-z, Fantabulous, HarrrrKelly, etc), since they seem to frequent DC/G-town night clubs quite often, having their after-parties :o
