I was hoping I would hear by the end of today whether I got the job I was in the hunt for.

Only 2 hours left in the day, me thinks me will be waiting over the weekend to find out.

Hmmm if they didn't want me they would tell me right away, then I would say if they did want me they would tell me right away.

Life is cruel LOL.

Depends on the position. Did you ask them at the interview if they would be "making their decision by a certain date?" Did you tell them at the end of the interview in so many words, "I want this position, [handshake, thank you, goodbye]?"

You might have made a better impression if you hadn't ended the interview by saying "And that's the bottom line cuz bigdawg said so.....:shattered glass:".

Thanked her for her time and said I was looking forward to working together. She said I would hear from the HR person but didn't say when.

Sent my nice post interview process thank you letter as well.

They are looking for someone as soon as possible.
