Has there ever been a human infected by mad cow?

Not true my friend I know a guy down at work who has been diagnosed with mad cow ...And he definately isn't into the brain or the spine. If I owned a cattle farm I would be sure to tell everybody things were OK to save my own ass and business as well.

I eat all kinds of beef from him, they have healthy cattle, and your friend could have had meat from right around the spine ,I believe thats possible aswell

my buddy may just be shitting me so I buy his beef but I doubt it

I think he might be confused in that *cows* get mad cow disease by eating food that has spinal tissue or brain tissue of other cows in it.
(technically people that eat human brain tissue and/or spinal tissue also show similar problems - it is a cannibalistic issue)

But a human can get mad cow disease by eating the meat of an infected cow.

A lady very close to my in-laws died recently of it and it was fast and ugly - sort of like Alzheimer's in fast forward with extra dementia.

Also, here is a joke:

One cow says to another, "Say, have you heard about this mad cow disease?"

"I certainly have," replies the second.

"Well, are you concerned about catching it?"

"Not at all!"

Confused, the first cow asks, "Well, why not?"

"I'm a helicopter."

Although to be fair that was awhile ago and because of that book a lot of changes were forced into place.

That said, I would imagine it hasn't changed so much that it wouldn't still disgust us now.

Seen the Simpsons where Lisa turns vegetarian? Marge offers her a piece of chicken (and Lisa imagines a cutlet coming out of a chicken) and a pork chop (and she imagines a chop coming from a piglet) and finally a hot dog (and she imagines a chicken and a rat and a frog and stuff coming from ALL OVER them).

i make an effort these days to eat pork sausages and turkey balogna. Sure theres a lot of table scraps in there still, but that takes care of madcow concerns.
