last night was even harder than when I was trying to take care of him after my c-section. I evidently have the flu and so does he. I vomitted all night and all morning -- cold chills, body aches, etc. I can hardly even move. The baby was awake all night crying. I kept having to put him down and run to go throw up. I felt so GUILTY because I wasn't taking good care of him. I was not physically able to carry him around. He puked on me twice. We kept changing clothes and puking all night.

I'm probably going to take off work early today and take the baby to my dad's and stepmom's house so that they can help us.

This was a HARD night.

You POOR girl!

OMG. I can not even imagine this happening. Don't you have a good friend close by that you could have called HR?

Get well soon. I feel so bad for you and Devin right now. No need to feel guilty either, you did the best you could do under these conditions. No mom could have done better.

In my mind I know I did the best I can, but my heart ACHES when I hear him cry -- you know how it is.

No, I don't have anyone close to call. Plus, this hit me at around 10 pm so I would have felt bad calling anyone.

It should be a rule that all mom's NEVER get sick!

I'm lucky I have ONE really close gal pal that I could call ANY hour of the night IF I was without a hubby to help. My hubby did/does travel a lot, so your horror story could have happened to me more than once.

I agree, it must have broke your heart to hear him cry. However, you are only human and can only do so much! Get well and don;t be so hard on yourself.

I think I'll get my dad to watch him while I nap at dad's house and try to get over this.

Aww not fun at all. I hate when my babies are sick so I can imagine how hard it is to watch him sick and not feel well yourself. I hope you both get well soon!!

imo bad mothers are those who dont look out for their own health so taht their kid gets attention that isnt neccessary.

babies brains work in 2 modes - 1) i want something, therefore i will cry, and 2) i have what i want, therefore i wont cry. thats it. being heartbroken working yourself into the ground to avoid mode 1 a few more times is dumb

i hate seeing strung out mothers. sucks.

maybe the cheezy guy from last night gave you the flu

::Sigh:: I am so sorry this is happening. It is times like this I wish we were friends IRL. If we were I'd install my extra carseat and bring him to my house while you get well. It is so hard taking care of a sick baby when you are sick yourself.

Whatever ya'll do...don't get dehydrated. You or him. Take care of yourself and take him to g'ma and g'pa's house so you can both get better.

Thank you everyone! We are both feeling better now! =-)

I have a trial tomorrow. I betcha I will be up all night preparing. I still get all wound up and excited and can't sleep before trials, even after 8 years of practicing law and 3 years of law school...lol. It's like that feeling a player gets before the big game, I bet. Adrenaline.

Wow, good luck @ trial HR. I'll be thinking of you while I'm at home with puking babies, lol. J/K...hopefully! :p
