So I'm flicking through one of the wife's magazines and there's an article on J Lo's fetish for fur coats. One of them is a coat made from hamster fur. Guess how much? $3,000 up!
Doing the math. About 100 hamsters are needed for each coat. Hamsters can breed after 4 months so they could be farmed to large numbers for next to nothing and there's thousands of coat maufacturers in Asia that will do the necessary work for a fraction of the retail price.
I don't advocate animal cruelty but hamsters are hardly an endangered species and as far as I see it there's no harm being done to the environment, you get a coat that will last you a lifetime, it's better than any synthetic material and the profit margins are huge (no offence hammy).
What say you?
