Ha! As an example of how hollywood doens't care about old farts - mr american idol, jay leno wannabee - is doing FORD COMMERCIALS.

So by next year, he'll probably be working as a car salesman.

Ha! Bet he sat at home, waitied for phone calls, and only one who called was Ford.

Kelly Clarkson's got tits, he doesn't. That's how life works. Too funny.

I don't see other idol contestants with ford commercials Then they're owned too if that's all they get!

Kelly Clarkson i see on mtv. Other contestants are on CD's and on tour.

Taylor's career is still sad if this is the pinnacle of his career...

Reba McEntire and many, many other people got their start doing jingles.

Barry Manilow wrote lots of famous jingles. It doesn't make them bad musicians or singers. Hell, I think if you can impact someone in 30 seconds to the point that your jingle is in their head forever, you are a genius...lol.

Who can ever forget the Oscar Meyer bologna song or the I'm stuck on Band-Aids song?

They don't make 'millions' from these commercials. If AI negotiated these contracts b4 they even signed on the show - safe to say they're making squat.

Kinda like how bands can sell millions of their first cd, and they make nothing all cuz of the record contract they signed.

When u sign for AI, u sign your life away. It's pretty standard practice now when u sign to appear on 'any' reality show, and you're a big fat nobody.
 
whether or not TH is gonna be an Alist celeb next year doesn't mean he's gonna completely disappear and start working in some car lot? you think ruben studdard is living in some apt somewhere? LOL riiiiightt..

UHM, look how big the last winner is. She does hershey and kit kat commercials! I think it is who ever contributes to the idol show gets commercials by the winner.

I wonder where the winners of Star Search are now?

There were so many better winners on AI, including many who got *stupidly* voted off (remember Chris Daughrty? where's his commercials?) - we'll see where they are.

And you dont' make "money" first few years. Most are still paying off their agents and satisfying the crappy contracts they sign just to be on 'tv'.

and u live where? I've been on set when they shipped in 'rental' ferrari's for episodes of cribs.

You don't make money first years in h'wood, cuz the investors (show producers) need to recoup their investment money in 'making u star'.

i suggest some books from amazon.com. Musician/actor - same rules.

and Katherine MacPhree > TH. btw: Bobby Brown was popular once.

If TH starts starring in action movies - i'll eat my words, but AI made a winner out of someone no one cared about and sings horribly - and he'll sink into oblivion as a result within a year. Check this thread in a year u AI fans.

Where was Kelly, just a couple of months after she won? Her career was going down the dumpster in a hurry singing fluffy pop songs, until she got together with the guy from Evanescence who wrote and produced rock songs for her.

got one of those hyundai luxury rental cars (that are still only like $20,000 I guess) on a business trip recently and was very impressed by the quality and was also impressed by a Kia Amanti I rented previously! Didn't understand why people rip on them so bad.

I don't either. They used to be poorly made but with the 10-yr warranties they have now I almost jumped on a Hyundai Sonata myself a few years.

I'm guessing simon gets millions for their commercials. Other artist say their contracts are shitty. That hispanic dude left last season because of it. I hear he is doing well.

Oh, hey there gramps. Taylor Hicks hasn't even started his solo career because he and the other top ten or twelve American Idol contestants are are on the freakin' American Idol tour all summer. He only won the contest like last month. I guess everyone in Hollywood can't move up to the top as quickly and as effortlessly as you have.
 
Dude I did a tylenol commercial once for espn and it played for like 1 week.....and I was proud as a motherfucker....Asswipe has me beat....lol....Im sure its better than whatever he was doing before....He is a no talent ass clown though.
