I had ultrasonic lipo on the abs/flanks and chest with the removal of 2 gyno lumps under each nip.

Trust me, if you had gyno removal or lipo, you'll be on your pain meds for about a week and a 1/2 atleast. You're not feeling much pain cuz your meds are working
I had to wear the compression vest for 8 weeks, 24 hours a day! and I still wear my ab compression vest while i'm at work. It keeps things snug while recovering. My doc said that I can wear it over the course the following weeks/months atleast 8-12 hours out of the day. I'll be seeing him next month so I can't wait..but I still have a lot of scarring under the skin

I had the surgery, and the doc prescribed me pain meds, but I honestly didnt need them. I wasnt even sore.. Wearing the compression vest is very important part of post surgery.. I wore mine an extra 2 weeks, just to be sure.. Thank god my girl took care of me, it was a pain in the ass trying to get wrapped up and put the vest on..especially by yourself. Only time i took it off was when I showered, other than that it was on all day and night..
My doc just gave me 500/5 vicoden.. I dont know why docs would give morphine or even percs for..

i was on 10/500 percs for my surgery. Everyone responds differently on pain meds. My doc also gave me demeral post surgery. The nurse gave me 4 shots before I got under a 5 on the pain scale of 1-10. But I have to admit, i wasn't high on demeral, but that stuff sure works. I was pain free for almost 10 hours! Also, something that always left a great impression on me from my doctor is that he called me at 7:45 pm from his home, kids and wife in the background, and asked me how I was doing..now I say what a hell of a doc and a good person that is...
and yes, my wife had to help me in and out of that vest for a couple of weeks until i would stretch my arms to get it on.

Comfort after gynecomastia surgery depends on the problem to be treated, surgical technique, skill of your surgeon, and other factors. I prefer techniques that minimize bruising, swelling, and maximize comfort. Although each of my patients gets a prescription for Hydrocodone and Tylenol (Lortab which is like Vicodin), most patients seem to find Tylenol more than enough after surgery. By minimizing discomfort, my patients seem to get back to work, activities, and bodybuilding early. Do not get me wrong, this is still real surgery and you need to let tissues heal. It is just nicer starting out ahead of the game.
