Gyno surgery today!

I read somewhere that if you completely remove the glnands under the nipples, gyno won't happen again no matter what kind of gear you used. That is, in addition of getting the fatty tissue removed by liposuction. Does anyone know this? Thanks.

Ive never been able to get a straight answer about it. I had my surgery in Dec. of '05.

It was from puberty and it was a moderate case. He said I was a "mixed bag". He did some lipo and crushed the gland. Ive never seen this before but he said removing it totally can cause pits in the chest.

At first I was pissed he didnt remove the gland but then the swelling started to go down even more after the 5 month period and it looks great and the crushed gland is not visible. Keep in mind I am not a sub 10% person as of right now. Im hovering around 13% so I guess it is possible that if I got extremely lean it may show slightly.

Another reason I am glad is because on my right pec there is an area where it appears he accidentally removed part of the gland and there is a small but fairly deep divot. If this were to be bigger and on both sides it would look strange.

It just so happened that my Dr. was the chief of plastic surgery here in MD at GBMC. This put my mind at ease that he knew what he was doing.

I never brought up the gyno coming back from AAS use when the gland is removed because I could just tell with his personality that he would have lectured me and I would have felt just plain stupid.

4 weeks off aint nothin' bro... you'll be back before you know it.

Questions :

Your insurance didn't pay?

To the other guy with the crushed gland... what is the point of crushing it? Does that kill/deactivate the gland?

Ill have to ask him about killing the gland. He said it would be better for aesthetic purposes to not remove it because it may cause pits if too much is removed. He said the contouring would look better if he crushed it. It was hard for me to argue with him even though I did not agree at first. Then again I am not Harvard educated like him. I figured I needed to trust his professional opinion.

So by crushing, that effectively kills it? It will never be sensitive to gyno again?

Darwin... just curious... what kind of non-surgical measures had you tried, if any, before having the procedure done? I don't have any experience with gyno, but many are praising the effects of letro + nolva or letro and dostinex... had you tried those? If so, I guess they didn't work for ya... and for how long did you have gyno?

Thanks!

Im not quite sure. He is in surgery today so I will call him tomorrow.

I did a cycle after my surgery and I could feel some stimulation in the surrounding gland but since it is spread out so much im not sure how it would look if it were to become enlarged again. It is also hard to differentiate between the scar tissue and the left over gland. I forgot to mention I have a nerve issue in my right arm now. My wrist is extremely sensitive to touch and for the first 2 months I had severe burning when I would twist my arm. He said the swelling in my chest area was pinching a nerve. It was the worst pain I have experienced to date, felt like fire rushing down my arm.
