gym problem- how to say he cant work in?

guys- how should a girl politely say this? the other day this guy asked to work in w/me on the squat rack (all the other racks were being used).
During his set- hes talking on his cell while adding plates to the bar so that took extra time.

Next, he stood at the bar waving to his friend, then did one rep-- & I guess wasent happy w/it cuase he called another guy (trainer) over to get advice-- all this time Im waiting to do my sets!!

this has happened a couple times w/the same guy... so how do I tell him politely he cant work in w/me?

next time when he asks, tell him actually you are pressed for time or else you would let him. hopefully he will get the hint.

or just tell him yeah you can work in if you dont dilly dally talk om your cell phone and shit.

Just say no or what Smurf-ette said.....

I hate when people pull that crap....

That sounds really frustrating...kind of like the pec deck posse at my gym that asks to work in with me on inclines....like 3 or 4 of them and they take litterally 30 minutes for that one exercise....

I usually will just say " I only have ___ number of sets left" and give them a rough time frame....that could work with this guy as it seems like he is willing to waste time....

people like that you just tell them straight up "if you're going to mess around just wait til i'm done".

Ditto the advice above

He's abusing, and inconsiderate. No need to spare his feelings, he needs to be smacked upside the head

These answers suck!

Next time say "sure" Then when he is in the middle of a squat perform a round-house leg sweep Van Damme style on him.
