Gym clothes...

What are some of the funnier things people wear at your gyms? My quick list:
-80's nylon running shorts.
-MC Hammer pants (sorry old school guys)
-Jeans and a tank top (never see these guys squat)

My favorite is to see guys squatting in work boots. But hey, at least they are in the gym and not at McDonald's.

The guys that wear B.U.M. equipment shirts, with the huge neck holes so they're whole traps are exposed with the flourescent tank top underneath, the grey sweatpants, and the old brown weight belts...they remind me of hans and franz.

Theres a couple of guys at my gym that must have looked in the clubby and though I need to buy a weight belt, Some gloves and wraps. Its so funny when he uses the wraps to do assisted chin ups, Must think hes looking cool or something, Here look at me I need to use wraps cause Im lifting so much weight on my assisted chin ups. TWAT

Yeah, the Zubaz are another good one (Hammer pants). The "shooter's sleeve" is also starting to make an appearance. Like the one Iverson wears in the NBA. If you need to keep your arms warm, wear a damn sweatshirt.

We've got guys who come in after working construction or something so they have their carhart overalls on and workboots. They leave mud and cement dust everywhere.

I forgot this one... and I may get heat for it but...

Fannypacks... on men (let alone women)

Ah yes...how could we overlook the fannypack?
I didn't want to offend any bros that may still wear those. I saw someone wearing an LA Gear fanny pack with zebra Zubaz last year. Looking REAL sharp!

basketball jerseys..

luckily i have never seen anyone wear both at the same time..

Your name reminded me of this, Judo Tom...Once I saw a guy working out in a cheap karate gi doing keeyis while he did 10 sets of preacher curls...

How about those guys wearing incredibly short shorts and roll the top band down once. Also wearing a T-shirt/sweat shirt tucked into these shorts. I have to see this at least three times a week at my gym therguy is killing me. First off the only people ever suppose to weare those shorts he has on are cheerleaders. Too many people tuck their shirts in.

Also the combo. Shorts and sweat shirt- Doesn't look right

What's wrong with the fanny pack? I have to have something to hold my MP3 player and extra batteries
I KNEW someone still wore one. That's why I didn't mention it. :D

[What's wrong with the fanny pack?]

Do yourself a favor... ditch the fannypack! Trust me... its like saying "whats wrong with walking around with my lats flared out... It makes me look big". Its just one of those things...

saw a dumb ass the other day wearing about 2lbs of gel in his hair, flip flops, bandana on his head and one tied around each wrist... i hate guys who are more worried about looking "pretty" than working out...lol

Guy at my gym wears a headband and wrist bands (80's Hulk Hogan style), short shorts and wears his socks almost up to his knees. He must have money because his girlfriend/wife (???) is hot a hell!

I'm sorry man. Someone has to tell you. Friends don't let friends wear fannypacks.

How About Really Fat Guys Wearing Bum Tank Tops Who Really Think Their Powerlifters..................omfg Soooooooo Funny

Don't foget the guys in the T-Michael shirts, baggies with fag bags on their waste... the best is when they are 5'7 and 165 lbs!

I confess....

I wear a fannypack to the gym, actually I have 2 or 3 of them.

I still wear T- Micheal (new and old stuff)

I still love my baggies. (pref. plain black, & solid colors)

and....(I seem to get ripped on for this all the time, although ..."laughs" I think it's fine, though.)

I usually wear 2x or 3x T-shirts. They are my size (2x) and although they are still baggy,(which I like and feel comfortable working out in) I am not "swimming" in them at all. Just enough room to move around in, and baggy enough to not be too oversized, but fit comfortable. Depending on manafacturer,...the length may be somewhat too tall, so I take the extra slack and make a loose knot for the extra slack. Enough to feel comfortable. This may seem a "gay" look, (nothing wrong w/ being gay btw...to gay members)to some but (laughs) I am straight. I assure you. I don't think I wear it that way, though. Problem lies where i have always been hard to fit, but w/ gym clothes, i am most comfortable with this look. Besides cutting the shirt, (which I don't want to do...) there really is no other way than that to fix the length size sometimes. I have always been hard to fit, so I have to make do, and sometimes make adjustments. For the fanny-pack, I will always have it in the gym. I need something to put my raps, wallet, extra shit in. Nevermind going to a locker, doesn't make much sense to me for that. I figure if black dudes (purely an example of trend) can wear "do-rags" and they not get "heet" for it, I can wear my plain black fanny-pouch to the gym. Besides, It helps me out a lot with a place to put my stuff. I never did understand why it was such a big deal to rip on them though... To each his own though...Either way though, I always did what I wanted to anyway..I am fine with it, I know it's not everyone's taste...But, it's the gym we are talking about. Oh,...Im 28 years old BTW, 242lbs @5'9. Not really sure what that makes me. (catagory/age, ect..) But, this is what I like to wear to the gym. I know styles change, and am a guy with a sense of humor who can look at myself, roll w/ the punches, and laugh sometimes about certain styles. I always considered myself the, friendly, down to earth-type, approachable regardless.

It's cool bros... flame away, :)...I am a good sport. Remember, bodytemple is one of those Northern New Jersey Goomba's w/ with the fanny pack in your gym who still likes to wear T-Mike stuff, and the like... It's my gymwear. I like....;)

Because they are gay ;) . J/K.

What about the pants that warmup pants that make a swishing noise when people walk by. Imagine trying to do some squats in those.

Then there is always the guy that wears the shorts that show his legs that have probably never done a leg press in their life.

T Michael....there's a blast from the past.....I still have all my old Sweatshirts....I don't wear them but I can't part with them.....

Nobody's mentioned it yet, but at my gym there is a 55 year old 155lb gay guy that wears a black wrestling singlet and thongs. He is an extremely nice guy, but when he lays on a bench, or does hamstring curls it is offending to everyone.

Alright, I'll come clean....I wear the baggies still once in a while....they're so damn comfortable :D

I haven't seen baggies around Sandyeggo in quite a while. Most of the stuff I see are tiny strap T's, that I hate, and some form of spandex or another.

I'd rather wear somthing large and baggy to move around in.

I don't see any with fanny packes, but there are three or four guys who just carry an unzipped gym bag around with them. Dragging it from area to area never actually doing anything with it than to carry it around.

Everytime I see a fanny pack I think concealed gun or off-duty cop.

I wear those swooshy Aidias pants that zip up the side and a t-shirt. Usually start my workout with a sweatshirt on then take it off to just the t-shirt. I wear a Nomad MP3 player with the ear buds that I drop down my shirt and drop it into my pants pocket. That way I don't get the ear phone cable caught on anything.

Do any of you guys have the emt/fire dept guys that carry thier walkie talkie to each station and hold it between set hoping that it will go off so they can rush out and save some lives?

Super tight t-shirts... mostly worn by skinny guys to show off how little their muscles are (at least it's my interpretation, they probably think opposite)...
I always think - Gosh, must be really uncomfortable to even move in that shit doing squats or upright rows...
I like seeing doctors' wifes wearing nike head and wrist bands with a t shirt "just do it." One day I made my own t-shirt and was wearing it at the gym. It read "just did it." Lots of looks and giggles from them... :elephant:

Screw it! I wear Jeans & a tank for everything..even squats!

I think I'd split the seams of my jeans if I tried squatting in them. I have to wear jeans with a 38" waist just to get my damn thighs in them. (my waist is only 34")

What I think it the worst are the skinny guys that can't bench more than their bodyweight that are ultra fashion conscious and have the latest Tommy Hilfagger workout clothes with $150 sneakers and carry around $5 bottles of water.

I know someone who lives with a fanny pack on all day, every day...and if i say who it is - i'm gonna get crucified... don't hurt me, you know who you are! LOL

I love the one about the guys who wear jeans and never squat - my gym is full of them at this time of year...ah yes - the "Resolutioners." I don't worry for they will all be gone soon enough!

I would assume everyone is wearing beanies?
