Gun Owners, Check The 'Grade' The NRA Gave Your Congressmen

What exactly is it about gun control that gun owners don't like? I don't care if somebody has 100 guns in his closet. I don't see why someone needs automatic weapons or what the resistance to a waiting period is.
And give me something besides the "what if a criminal steals my registered gun and commits a crime" thing.

because it is my god damn right. it shouldnt matter if i want to own a howitzer.

did you not learn a lesson from places like nazi germany and cuba, where citizens were gradually forbidden to have weapons?

how would you feel if the government were to start placing retarded and ass backwards regulations on freedom of speech?

oh wait, they already did (CFR)

Bush backing the renewal of the ban makes me truely sick. Some say it's a shrewd political move, because it will make him appear more moderate to his detractors. I say he's a brainless stooge who has no convictions, no common sense and no understanding of "...shall not be infringed."

i think we are jumping a bit ahead of ourselves here. the only reason people are saying that about bush, is because of some blurb that was buried in the washington post. it could just be a political move to 'test the waters' to see how it goes over with the the base.

i think you should have some hope, especially since john ashcroft is a HUGE supporter of the second amendment. didnt bush, rumsfeld, and ashcroft have a meeting a few months ago, where they specifically said they were going to back up the second amendment? i know it happened, but im not sure who was there exactly.

i HIGHLY doubt that bush will veto this if it gets passed by congress. so keep the heat on your politician.

however, the best way to make sure bush gets rid of this ban is to have congress keep this bottled up, until after the election. this way those piece of shit democrats dont have some 'red meat' to attack him.

but if bush actually does support this ban, what are you going to do? vote for a democrat? throw your vote away on some third party no body?

if you think bush will be bad news for gun owners by supporting this, just imagine what a liberal democrat like john kerry or hillary clinton would do. shit, go to vote smart and check all of the democratic presidential nominees for their voting records on gun related issues.

Well, I hope you are right, but who knows.

Look for the ban to be renewed not by stand alone legislation, but as a rider attached to some "must pass" law, such as an appropriations bill.

Most of these guys have no clue as to what is contained in a bill unless they wrote or sponsored it.

That's how you wind up with 19 million dollars earmarked for research into the effects of cattle flatulence on the ozone layer.

I did not vote for Bush the first time around nor will I this coming election. Of course I know the democrats are even worse, but I will not vote for a lesser of two evils. I have more pride in my self and my beliefs to whore my self out like that. It is fine that you want to call my voting for a third party as "throwing my vote away". That is your opinion and I can respect that.

this is too big of an issue for them just to attach it to another bill.

just remember who your enemies are.

Banning guns addresses a fundamental right of all Americans to feel safe." Senator-Democrat Dianne Feinstein, A.P., 1993

"We're going to hammer guns on the anvil of relentless legislative strategy! We're going to beat guns into submission." Senator-Democrat Charles Schumer, 1993

"Banning guns is an idea whose time has come." Senator-Democrat Joseph Biden, 1993

"Assault weapons in the hands of civilians exist for no reason but to inspire fear and wreak deadly havoc on our streets" President Democrat Bill Clinton, 1997

dont be fooled, people.

unlike what the democrats want you to think, the founding fathers were not worried about the rights of deer hunters and skeet shooters being infringed upon.

Aren't you the same person that called another poster a dipshit for saying that the list has all democrates getting and "F" and all republicans an "A"?

Now you're lumping all democrats togehter as anti-gun?

yes, because the vast majority of them are.

there are a few who arent, just like there are a few republicans with low grades when it comes to guns.

add them up, and let me know what you get.

So it's OK for you to make generalizations because the majority of democrats are anti-gun, but not OK for the other guy to?
