Growing up in the 60's, 70's and 80's

Great post. I was born in the late 70's but grew up in the 80's....I really think kids today are missing out on something.

Outstanding Post! My daughter, born in 92, cannot believe I had to watch black and white TV, had no cable, a rotary phone and walked to school.

LOL!!! I remember playing pickup games of baseball, football, basketball till just after dark. It was sweet.

Great post -
I remember it all. Accurate. This thread brought back a rush of fond memories, being a child in the 60's. I remember we walked a mile to school with out adult surpervision starting with 1st grade. Through the middle of town too. I don't think my sister even allows her kids to play in the front yard alone, today.

Or even sleeping in a tent in the backyard....that was so cool.
Hell, we can't even let them do that now.......
