Ground sirloin cooked and washed/drained is pretty lean as well as being cheaper than ground turkey. Have you tried carb timing? Eat some lean beef in your last meal. Beef has an amazing zinc profile compared to chicken. Try taking in your carbs in meal 1(morning) the the other 80% before, during and after training. I highly recommend taking in a workout drink....2:1 ratio carbs to protein, sip on it during the workout. I think Epa/Dha(fish oil) is a better fat supplement. As long as you consume them around your workout you'll be fine. I workout 5-6 days a week and low/no carbs on off days is a good idea if you respond well to keto diets( I don't). Keep the carb quality high, breakfast should be something like oatbran hot cereal and blueberries with a whole protein source or milk isolate. i'm dropping my carbs bigtime now....i seem to do alot better on keto diets w/ a refeed but tried just dropping my overall caloric intake this time around w/ a 40/30/30 ratio. not very successful thus far, even with AM cardio.
on off days you suggest hardly any carbs?
i'm assuming by 80% you mean take carbs pre work out, dextrose in my P/WO shake and then some carbs in my post work out meal?
i may just go back on a CKD. always did the trick in the past

Then why not go with something like ground sirloin which has better nutritional value? Also great to make meatloaf with using the lipton onion soup mix recipe on the side of the box and substituting turkey as mentioned above for the beef, awesome, you'll like it a lot.
