Hello all.

My Asian adventure lands me in the French Quarter of Hanoi. Very interesting place. I'm at an upscale resort - it is beautiful. Really amazing.

The French influence is powerful, but in a good way for once. The food is spectacular, the people well-dressed.

Most of what I have seen in Vietnam is NOT like this. On the way from the airport, we passed lots of people taking goods to market by moped. it is clearly a very poor country.

The women are exotic looking, and when they look good, they are beautiful.

I'm here for a few days - going to get out and see the city tomorrow.

well, just ate, off to get out and see the city. the French Quarter sort of reminds me the Garden District of New Orleans pre Katrina...but I got a list of local stuff to do and see.

I hear they have an excellent museum from the "American War".
