Got In a Car Wreck Tonight

At about 6pm me and 2 other marines were heading off base to get something to eat. I was in the rear driverside seat. Coming up on a light, the driver had to stop hard. I turn my head to say "Holy Shit", but before I can get the first syllable of "Holy" out we got slammed from behind. Came to cursing about the whiplash. I had to go to the hospital, but the 2 guys in the front seats were alright. All had seatbelts on thankfully.

Turns out the guy who hit us was driving a Ford Explorer, we were in a Chevy Colorado. He hit us so hard that we went 184 ft from point of impact, and the hood on the Colorado was bent.

I managed to escape with only a strained neck and back, a right knee contusion, and a headache from hell.

Crazy thing was before I got in the truck when we left the barracks I had this feeling that we were going to get in a wreck. I always put my seatbelt on regardless, but there was something about the de ja vu shit that freaked me out after I gathered my senses.

My cousin was in accident and hit a telephone poll; no seat belts.
Half his brain came out of his head. Still lived but not a very quality life.

But now he died from a seizures caused by the accident.

Thanks everyone. I'm feeling a little better today, but sore as shit. It was raining slightly, and the guy in the Explorer was in a rush to see his girlfriend from what I understand. The MP on duty said it was there has been 32 accidents in less than a month. The fucking dumbasses around here don't learn.

that was only at maybe 10mph. It seems you got hit *hard*. Sorry to hear that. Defiantely seek EXPERT medical attention. You don't want anything permanent coming out of this or further injuring yourself.

And get a good lawyer. A lawyer who'l do more than file some papers and file it away and then doing nothing more than waiting for a settelement one day.

Dumbass Marines. It actually happened on base. Most of them don't know how to drive, and think this is the Fast and Furious with their "tricked out" cars. I don't particularly care for those kind of idiots to begin with, but I can't stand when they drive like assholes and put others at risk.
