So my daughter is coloring. She give me a piture and says here daddy i drew a picture of you! I gave you hair so you can be cool!! And on it she wrote "cool daddy" She's 5 LOL

yeah I have 3 myself. I have two toddlers so i see it daily. Every day is something new, and hilarious.
 
HA! Yeah kids are funny as hell and so honest. I think the funniest thing my child ever said to me was when she said she wanted to wear pretty panties like mine one day. She was holding a thong and I told her sweetie you will have to be much bigger to wear those and she said yeah and I need a big butt like you too. LOL! I laughed so hard!

Lmao. My 4 year old (girl) runs around wearing my bra screaming "Look mommy I got boobies"..Among other funnies that she has made in reference to becoming a woman like her mommy.

Yea LOL. probably my funniest moment was i was jumping in the shower one day and my kid opens the door and seen my behind. She closed the door ran to my wife and whispered in her ear "i seen daddys butt, he has a big butt". I was laughing so hard.

Oh I hear you. You definitely have to be careful with the little girls! Have you seen some of the little teenage girls these days? My gosh they are 13 trying to look like they are 21. I am not looking forward to the teenage years. I know my husband is going to be hard on them, but like I told him them they will find ways around him to do what they want. You just have to raise them well and hope that they make good decisions.

I have two daughter, I hope they don't. I just want them to always feel there always daddys little girls, and can always come to me for anything.

I don't like to hit my kids. I don't even like to punish them. In fact my mom in law is on my ass constantly about how I lack in the discipline area..However the day I see my little girl dressed like a mini hooch will be the day I lay her ass out flat on the floor!
I don't know what these parents are thinking allowing it. It is purely disgusting, not to mention degrading. not only do the kids look like asses but so do their parents.

I could not agree more parents let their kids get away with too much these days. I think it is probably beause they don't pay much attention to their kids!

I have a little girl due today but isnt coming today. Cervix was still closed as of thursday. I took 5 days off from work and have 2 left. when I go back she will come. She will be a little terd like daddy.

Yea we been having the girl/boy talks with her already. I hate it, but shes courious and i would want her to know right/wrong things from my wife and I rather than some guy pulling up in a car at the curb tring to get her in it.

I hate that we cant do this with our kids.

Tae Kwon Do my friend!! Both of my girls are in and my oldest has been in it 3 yrs now and will be a black belt this fall. She can totally kick some ass. You will worry less if you know she can defend herself. I will feel much better knowing she can handle herself when she is older out there on her own. There are too many sickos in this world.

Yep times have changed. I don't let my kids out to play by themselves AT ALL. It makes me really sad though there are some dumb parents out there. There are kids down the road that are always in the front and riding bikes alone. The oldest cannot be any older than 4. I know we live in a gated community and all, but cars just follow people in. I just want to slap the parents.

Yea she turns 6 this summer were gonna try then to put her into something like that. Then she can kick my old, bald, fat ass LOL.

Yeah it really helps with their confidence as well. I stopped fighting my oldest long ago. I used to get on my knees and fight with her until she did a roundhouse kick real hard to my ear. They can kick hard even at that age!

Mine keeps wanting to do Karate. We were thinking of dance or something. But nope ever since we signed her brother up she claims she wants to do it to. I think she will be good at it, so I may still give it a try.

LOL damn. Yea we wrestle around. She definatley doesn't fear much.
I always ask my youngest (2yrs old) "DO YOU WANT SOME OF ME?" She'll scream "NO" and giggle. My 5 year old steps up and says "I TAKE SOME" LOL

I had no one to trun to at 15, I had no parents or anything, but i wish i had one person to turn to i probably wouldn't have made as many mistakes as i did. Altho i turned out alright.
My story is in the "did you make your own riches thread"
My wife was always able to talk to her parents about stuff growing up too. They were extremely close.
But i see what you mean at 15 theres alot of things going on, I just hope i can show them theres nothing they can do to NOT make me love them. I feel if i can teach them now that dad will always be there for them maybe as they become young adults they will always remeber that.
I can only hope.

Gated communities really do lend an extra feeling of security that can work against you! My kids don't play outside alone either. If someone has to go in and pee then we all go!

You sound like you will be a real good Dad. Sorry you didnt have parents growing up, but sounds like you didn't do so bad.

sign her up angel... my 2 girls and 2 boys all do kenpo. They love it. My oldest girl ( one of the triplets at 9) has such great confidence and such pride that she can puyt the whoop a$$ onthe boys in class. My baby girl (5) is only a yellow belt but she loves the exercise.

I always tell my girls that they can do and be anything they want just like the boys. I drill them with morals, respect (self and others) , honor, courage and the fact that they will never ever degrade themselves by being a hooch acting like their young sexuality is more important than their brains and skills. My boys get a similar message about never viewing girls that way.

It's kind of funny because I was definitely not a "good" guy when I was young but now that I have kids... look out!

I think I am. I know i could do better. I just try to do things that I missed out on growing up. but i also want to let them know that anything can be done if you put your mind to it. And asking for help isn't always considered a hand out, but a hand up.
I took what happened in my life not as "the world owes me" but as a learning experience on what not to do, what mistakes not to make, and try and pass that experience on to my children or a child who might feel the world is closing in on them and theres no where to turn.
There's always light at the end of the tunnel. You just sometimes need pointed in the right direction. It makes me feel good if i can help one person out, get through to one child, in the end its all worth it if i can stop the self distruction and they learn that they are somebody, and they can be anything.

My parents and I were fightig constantly from when I was 13 - 17.
But I turned out alright too.
And we are all super close now.
I tell them almost everything and I am happy I have them.
