dana reeves died of lung cancer.

she was diagnosed 6 months ago and is in her 40s i think. thats horrible.

she was 44 and IIRC, she never smoked.

i think they had a 15 year old son.

i think i did a good job of making sure this thread did not seem like the typical humorous/sarcastic tone of my other threads, yes?

You think she was sad from what? her husband dying? i think that was expected. I'd think she probably really wanted to live for her son and the foundation she started for spinal cord injury.
Once you get cancer in your lungs, its pretty hard to bounce back.

thats alot of stress for someone to endure for so long...i totally agree. I feel that the "Superman" family was truely a persona that only her and her husband could fulfill.

What a terrible thing, I bet the stress really weakened her immune system, but who knows...they recently just published a paper in a major medical journal that showed how spouses "really" do die more quickly when their SO dies...

Since he felt of that horse their life went from "nicer than normal" to trgic. He did the best he could to turn the situation, by getting involve with research and charity, but just the same, the stress of it must have taken a toll on them
