Good tymes with the homeless...

I love OfficerNate & the shit he comes up with while at work. For about the last 6 months, he's been doing this thing with pan handlers. If he gets called to a buisness because of a panhandler.. he says, "show me ur wallet or i'm giving u ur ticket". If they don't have any money, he gives them some but tells them they need to move down the road. If he looks in the wallet and they have a ton of cash, he yells at them for having more money in their wallet than he has in his. lol.

In Argentina they took the homeless in planes and dropped them out at 10,000 feet over the ocean. Oceanographers wondered why the shark and fish population was skyrocketing back then...and eventually they found out why!

Hopefully Officer Nate would clean out their cash before putting them on the plane...

Around here, they like to drive them to the next city and drop them off. He doesn't do it. He knows them all. He helps the ones he thinks are really 2far gone and really hungry or cold. We have several that actually have decent houses and play the bum role to get extra cash. One guy was in the newspaper a few years ago. He made over 60.000(tax free) from panhandling. He said he considered it as his job. Those are the ones officernate gets all pissed off about.

When homeless people ask me for money(they're really bad here in miami..and LAZY), i either ;

-scream out something random and incoherent that makes no sense. You can't ask somebody crazier than you for money lol
-give them some life changing philosophical advice, followed by maybe a buck and ending with "don't buy any crack"
-go on a rant about something completely irrelevant to anything

keep in mind 99% homeless people here are just drunks, crackheads, or have major mental health problems

i have no respect for panhandlers. why? Because I'm used to new york city, where the homeless people all have a gimmick or act or something of value. They're creative. i always give money to those people, because they TRY

there's a dude here in south beach i always give money to because he makes these little grasshoppers out of palm leaves. I bought one the first time and just give him money when i randomly see him from now on.

But then again, the guys on broadway where I used to bounce knew me and I'd take care of em when I could. I don't see the point in looking at these people like they're vile and disgusting. But that's just me. I talk to them like they're normal everyday people and I don't condescend to them and think that these two bucks I'm giving them is somehow going to be invested in the NYSE and turn them a big profit to get off the streets. Here in Norfolk we have a ton of homeless by the beaches. Most of them are really nice people. They always say hello when I job by them at 10pm at night. The ones at the grocery store though are an annoyance. They walk right up on you and expect something.

One of the projects I am working on just landed $1.4 Billion for reconstruction tax credits we can resell. Some of those proceeds are going to Newport News and eventually branching out....

There is homeless guy in the same subway tunnel in Chicago every day. He plays this little drum kit all day - he has no eyes. They're seriously gone. Sunken in.

I saw some other bums all drugged up on something playing his drums and fucking with him one day. That's a sad dude.

Yes! I'm a big fan of that..... but not anywhere to fish around here,lol. They mostly dumpster dive at KFC and Taco Bell. For a couple of years, we were getting this one homeless guy several odd jobs on my block. He kept his tools in my garage. Every Saturday, he knocked on my door to get his tools and did odd jobs at houses around where I live. It started with him mowing our grass. Before long, he was making a couple hundred bucks on the weekend by just mowing lawns and other odd jobs around here. He violated his parole and is in jai(for stealing food from a grocery store). I actually miss him. He was fun to talk to. He was in the army for a gazillion years. Plus, he could fix tons of shit and he worked hard. He built stairs for the old lady across the street in about an hour. I think he was homeless because he was a little off, you know? kinda crazy-like... but very nice. When he did work on our street, I always had lunch ready for him when he brought his tools back. He always tried to give me a few bucks for the food I made for him. He never asked me for anything(food, money, ect..). I still have his' tools for when he gets out.

i hate seeing people get picked on...i was the anti bully in high school and college. If i saw someone getting fucked with, i'd always intervene..and because everyone either respected/loved/feared me, it'd stop pretty quick.

My modern day version of it is when there's an irate and irrational customer in a store or whatever being a complete asshole to the employees. I usually make the person complaining feel like a fuckin idiot and completely embarass them in front of everybody else watching.

I'm the same way. Guys in high school LOVED to bully people in front of girls to impress them. I thought it was the biggest turn off.
Doing anything with the intention of causing a person or animal pain is WRONG in my book.
I can't stand how many adults bully people. I work with doctors, nurses, firefighters, cops that bully people. It's wrong. It gives a bad name to the ones that aren't bullies(Police Officers are the PERFECT example).
