good read about GMO crops

redsam back on teh scene. Mr. DB was making a valiant attempt to fill your vibrams in your stead but not quite.

I don't see the big deal. Cows aren't even naturally occurring animals like the rest of the livestock. They were breed into what they are today and I am sure it doesn't help the environment either.
There is a HUGE difference between hybridization, which is what cows (and all domestic animals are the result of) versus genetic modification, which is actually implanting foreign protein genes in food crops.

In fact, they're linking the rise of gluten intolerance/celiac disease to the use of GMO grains: Study finds link between GMOs and current health care crisis | Townsend Letter | Find Articles at BNET

I wasn't always gluten intolerant, it started in the late 1990s.

Welcome back!

And I enjoy reading about unpublished stories resulting from a single scientist's allegations. I am concerned, however, that the article didn't include profanity and/or contractions. I've come to expect a certain modicum of nonsense from these articles, and this one is coming up a tad short.

Pwned by the highly complicated and confusing quote system!

Didn't you have this problem several years ago too?

I've got a big idea: GMO crops have been in use for years now. If the FDA wants to crack down on them, let FDA provide the same level of science they require for a new drug application to prove GMO crops are harmful. I guess we can see their results in another 12 years and $500M-$2B dollars later.

Good times!
