good mornings- arched or straight back?

how do you keep your back straight?

not a flame. i know there a number of different styles, but as i can see it, either you arch the back or you round it.

There's arched, neutral, and rounded. A neutral back IS slightly arched, just as a matter of spinal structure.

Spatts, if they'll give me a back like yours, I'm starting right away!

You know I only post back pics because it's the only part of me that's lean enough to see anything.

I have dropped about 10-15lbs since the Bluegrass Comp, so I wanted to check my reflection. :fro:

lol

sorry, not tryin to hijack your thread but spatts: could you empty your box? its full.

and by the way, your back is freakin awesome. hopefully i will have a back like that soon;)

I like arched personally... I will do the others about 2 times a year...maybe 4. I get lots of rounded back work from my events...

basically arched is how i do them as well.

hit some last night. 245x1 yaaaaay! im feeling really comfortable doing them too.

I think I perform my GMs different than most trainers. . I like to keep my feet together so i can really target the hams. So far, I have been able to rep with 325lbs using this method. Also, I am without chains and I start in the top position.

I have no clue on how much weight I can shift around using a conventional stance.

congrats man...i love gms...i think they're addicting:D

all I know is that today was the first time I did GMs and I was worried about how my bad lower back would handle it. Forget that shit- I'm walkin around like a friggin cripple b/c of what they did to my hams!
