road kill, sushi,( if you can afford it ) anything with ample calories and protein, ice cream, cooking your foods in bacon fat will do nicely, late night burritoes and tums.

oatmeal, pitas, avacado, kidney beans, peanut butter, soy products.... whole wheat breads and pastas, protein bars, cashews.
 
thats right, I forgot about peanut butter. Egg salad is a good one too. Gotta go make a sandwich.:p

if you want good clean gains stick with VARIATIONS menu, but @ my height i need to get fat as hell to promote good gains. im also very active in my profession and requires alot of extra calories. protien requirements are always first for me though.
 
Get the protein in (1.5 - 2 grams/lb) and eat whever you want in your first 4 meals then about 6 hours before bed cut out the carns and have good fats with protein...

DC style bulking

when its time to bulk you have to be serious about it, its not just some easy thing cuz you get to eat junk. there are times when i cant even eat another bite of food and force myself to eat, actually thats all the time.

heres an example of breakfast while bulking

8oz stip steak or ribeye ( good tasting )
two cups tater tots
bananna
ice cream
cup of milk
peanut butter toast

enzymes
vitamin c
 
oatmeal
pasta
chicken, chicken and chicken
red meat, red meat and red meat
banana's
potatoes
bread

keep it simple... eat allot...

so far you're the only sane person in this thread. the diets above are nothing more then recipies for 1) FAT gain and lots of it, 2) Blood Lipid Problems (esp on juice when HDL flushing is greatly reduced).

To grow muscle, you need lots of protein, and enuf carbs (and a bit of fat prefereably from olive oil, deep sea fish like salmon, etc, maybe some walnuts) to spare the protein. If you want to grow FAT, pile on the ice cream and dougnuts, then spend time money and lost muscle to get rid of the fat.

isn't it better to gain 15 pounds and keep 10 after a brief cutting, then gaining 30 or 40 and keeping 12 after tortuous months of dieting and cardio?

p.s. I'll post the name when I buy some more, but there's a company that makes a great tasting (and great consistency) 100% whole wheat pasta. great stuff.
 
The easiest way to get an extra (healthy) 1000 calories every day:

Eat a can of olives.
 
You're probably going to shudder, but I top up my calories by drinking oil.

I buy a 50:50 mixture of safflower oil (omega 6) and Flax seed oil (omega 3). I mix about 150mls of this in with the same amount of milk. I add in some honey and some vanilla essence and blend it up. It is easy to swallow this way, and will give you 2000 calories in one easy drink.
 
I will be trying something new this year, adding natty PB, as much as possible, 100cals per tbs, 10tbsp, which can easily be done in 1 sitting, 1000cals, yes I can multiply after all. :D

Will it put fat on me, most likely, we'll find out :D

.....that's way to many fat cals IMO.....the way I do it is I add fats when I decrease my calories while cutting and when I bulk I take in the bare minimal.....
 
I always seem to have trouble getting over 5k cals while bulking, so I am going to try the PB thing for just about 4 weeks. This is jsut an idea im throwing around right now, I havent really made up my mind yet.

Gilly, how much fat do you take in while cutting, Im currently getting in 2 tbsp of PB in about 3 seperate meals and then again with my before bedtime protein drink.

well, for me, when bulking.. i just finished like 3 months of bulking, doing some cutting for summer now, and I didn't even gain alot of fat. I just make sure I keep protein high, and eat high carb (usually complex) and simple carbs after workouts...
and I usually try to get my protein and carbs from sources where I will get a complete source of proteins, as well as a source that is very low in saturated fats, which is why I don't eat red meats, or actually.. I don't eat any meats.. because it's not nescaserry.
I get my good sources of fats from things like flax oil, olive oil, sun flower seed oil, canola... and avacados(gwacamolie is damn good [spelling?])... If I can, I try not to position any high fat intake around any high carb intake.. but you don't need to be too picky if you're bulking... IMO.

fish
seseme chicken cause I love it too much but try to stay away from it cause of the high fat and carb contents

fried eggs
scrambled eggs
whole eggs

oatmeal
potatoes
mashed potatoes
cranberry juice after lifting

protein shake when I can't get in anymore food

Basically everything, just stay away from junk food. :)
