For one side of my family we do a Secret Santa. I went out Wednesday night and picked up a gift card for the liquor store for my cousin (my person), who is a spoiled little brat I really don't like but he's in school so that's what I would want (suggested gift amount was $50). After shopping I met up with a friend for a drink, don't know what I did when I got home but can't find the stupid gift card. I figure either I dropped it or it got grabbed out of my pocket when my coat was on my chair.

Fuck. I don't want to spend another $50 on this little shit but it's either that or totally cheap out. Maybe just get him a cheap bottle of something? I'm more pissed at myself because somebody probably just got a free $50 worth of booze because I can't keep track of things.

in greek culture you can insult people you dont like by getting them good gifts - because they have to accept a gift that they cherish from someone they dont like - its why i pretend not to know that some guys hate my guts (so many do) and i buy rounds of drinks, and they have to smile and act nice, even though they resent (badly, and vocally) that i once had a thing with their girlfriend/sister
