well 6 months ago i was lookign for a new gym, so i go to balley bc they had 20/mo at the time and i only needed something to last me until now (6 months) bc i am going to school and will work out there. so it was perfect. so i sit down wiht the asshole and he tells me i will be able to cancel no problem bc i will be moving more than 25 miles or some bullshit.

well balleys calls me today trying to sell me on a credit card and the lady comes up with some B.S> like we'll transfer your 800 some odd dollar balance onto the credit card for you, so i'm like WTF hold the phone, i am canceling blah blha blah and she said yes but you signed a 3 yr contract and that is what you owe. i told her i am well aware of that and the only reason i signed was bc i was told i would be able to cancel in 6 months. so she gives me a membership services number to call
tomarrow and i'm gonna go raise some hell with the guy tomarrow too.

what are my rights concerning this situation, anyone been thru something similiar b4?
i REFUSE to pay anytihng.

It does not matter if you sign a three year contract. If you can prove (with address of course) you live more than 25 miles away you can get out of it. But of course there not going to give up so easily.

Kryp2o, I hope you're right cuz I'm in a similar situation (not w/ bally's) where I told them I won't be here for a year and he told me if I can prove it, I'm out of the contract. If I get fucked like this poor guy, I'm raising some hell too.

have fun fighting bally's. they are not easy to beat. i tried getting out of my 3yr contract too aNd i was in a serious car accident...practically impossible. now i only got a few more months left on that contraCt

I had a membership with Bally's years ago. I moved and got out of the contract. I lived 31 miles from the nearest one at the time.

All you have to do is prove with a rent check or some kind of copy of a bill saying that your getting service elsewhere then it's all good...It took Balleys over 1 year to get me off their mailing list
