Ghosts-are they real?

I got one in my basement right now. He( I have no clue as to gender) seems lost...

No, but I have experienced phenomena and continue to do so. Won't go into it. Here's a funny story. I once visited a restaurant in Waxahachie, Texas called, "The Catfish Plantation." It was listed in a magazine as one of the most haunted places in America. I went into the bathroom and turned out all the lights and said, "If there are any ghosts here, please come forward." LOL

Seen a ghost (demon) and no, I don’t think you could kick its ass; it's the most frightening thing you can experience in the world. I was 16, the thing is, it’s just not about “seeing” it, you feel it, it feels you, it knows everything about you. You know that it knows that it could destroy you in a second. Basically you feel helpless, like you’re a mouse in a mouse trap and there is a cat sitting there analyzing you, and your so scared you cant move…like HOLY SHIT!!!!…..like you’ve come face to face with Satan, or god, only it wasn’t Satan or god, it was just one of their peons. A little grunt, but yet you know your helpless in its presence.

I've never seen or felt a presence of one but did you guys ever watch that show "Fear" on MTV? My gf was addicted to that show and they'd take the people out to the most haunted places and make them do ridiculous shit to make some cash. After seeing some weird shit there it makes you wonder

Ive done paranormal investigations with friends as a hobby,and from one place a spirit attached itself to me and I brought the fucking thing home,it makes our life hell from time to time when it acts up, most of the time its just little shit like footsteps,but when it gets pissed it feels like someone is jumping on your bed,Ive tried to kick at this shadow figure when it was doing this before,which resulted in me being locked in my bedroom and not being able to open the door all night while this thing made random noises around my room scaring me shitless, the fucker had to pick a night nobody was home to do it also.
my whole family experienced the bed thing and it pounds on your closed bedroom door if you sleep with it closed sometimes,other times it just opens it right up and comes on in,ive been woken up by my tv turning on along with light.

The house i grew up in had 3 people commit suicide in it, my bed used to shake every once in awhile, used to scare the shit out of me

It bothered me for weeks until one night I mentioned it to the night porter and he told me that he often saw her walking around the hotel at night.
It didn't feel creepy or scary at all like I'd thought it would.
Dammit, I want a ghost to scare me while I'm sleeping or at least at night in the dark. I need a good scare.

One morning I woke up and went to take a piss, when I came out of the bathroom I heard someone call me up stairs by my name, so I went up there and no one was there, his family went to the store earlier and my friend was outside.
When we saw it we were in his dad’s car in his driveway about midnight, just waiting for his dad to come out and take me home. Well, my buddy was in the front seat looking back at me talking when all of a sudden he stopped, and at the exact same time he stopped I felt something that scared the hell out of me, and I knew he felt it too because he stopped talking. We both looked over to the right of the car and saw a shadow of a man walking along side of the car. It was a full moon or close that night so it was pretty bright and the moon was casting shadows from everything (away from the moon like they’re supposed too) well, this shadow was cast towards the moon and was also darker the rest. There weren’t any other lights near his house, no street lights nothing. And we could hear it walking on the gravel driveway.
Anyways, it’s a totally different kind of fear, not like your being chased by a dog, or someone is shooting a gun at you, you know what is going on and why you are scared, that is the normal kind of fear. This was like it was putting fear into us. We both felt like it knew everything about us, it was giving us these thoughts, thoughts like it knew everything about us, and it wanted us to know this. We both felt totally helpless in its presence and we both felt like it got pleasure out of this, and it wanted us to know it. It was just a crazy experience. Something you can’t really explain. Basically we were both so scared we were literally frozen until it mixed in with the other shadows and disappeared. I didn’t sleep alone for 2 months after that, and I was 16 lol

Some people are definitely more open to this sort of thing than others.

I live down in the swamp,the railroad goes by my back yard Ys ago there was an accident where the conduvtor switched the tracks,anyway he got caught in the contraption and the train be-headed him.
Every year at that fateful time of night the mist rolls accross the tracks and even from my house you can see something//someone walking the tracks carrying a lanern seeking his lost head.
This went on from the late 50's until the spectre was no longer seen after the earlier 70's

Just wondering, but are there any people that believe in "ghosts" outside of religion? As in, they would argue their existance outside of any religious connotation -- sans terms such as 'spirit' or any other words or descriptions linked to god or religious spirituality?

I would think that one would feel privilidged to see a ghost. Never mind the spooky, scary bullshit. Think of what that just proves!
There is more to death than just...well...nothingness. There is something bigger than us all.
It would answer alot of unanswered questions wouldn't it? No more wondering. There's a ghost - plain and simple. There is something "beyond". Kind of cool if you ask me.
I'd love to see one, but knowing me, I'd just explain it away like a pin-head anyway.

somtimes if you believe in something hard enough.. you mind will falsly show it to you..
