anyone used this before for sleep or any other reason? im considering asking my doc for a script of this rather than the addicting lunesta or ambien. ive heard ghb knocks you out cold and you get deep sleep all night long and that its side effects arent that severe in that gamma hydroxybutrate is naturally occurring in the body (thats what ive heard at least). anyone have any opinions?

I REALLY dont think you can get a prescription for that in the USA :o

Yes you can....it's called Xyrem......unless you have been prescribed ambien, sonata, etc. you will never get this stuff. It's a last resort medicine. It's worth a try, ask your doc, there is one pharmacy in the US that distributes it exclusively.

Really?
I am shocked with the black eye the USA media gave it that it is actually used here for anything :o

if used properly, it can help someone with serious sleeping problems, but only use it as a last resort, i don't think they prescribe it to people under 40 or 50, especially since they know that it can be abused by younger people, moreso than older people. Not many 50 year olds go to clubs and party with it! lol

will admit...it was the only thing i was ever addicted to....the best drug ive ever used...cant find it any more, used to have a unlimited supply/ source, but not any more...been many years since ive used it...had two girlfriends OD on it...scared the shit out of me, one was my ex wife....she was fucked up for 10 days...she took extra without telling me, and passed out in the middle of dinner at a sushi bar- fell right over....not cool.

I have used many recreational drugs, all in excess, but was never a real big fan of G. I had a friend who stugled with it for years, he is finally off the shit now. I cant even remember the number of times we had to drag him out of the club cause he passed out and the police/medics were sure to arrive soon. He almost swallowed his tounge on more than one occasion as well, yet he kept on using for years. terrible drug from what I've seen although I'm sure the 3 tons of coke I put up my nose was no treat for my body either. Now were both "healthy", ie PE drugs only.

GHB....we used to call it the Ocean-potion, bc it tastes like salt water.....good stuff, knocks you right out....but there is a fine line between a normal dose and a lethal dose....be careful

Your doc will NEVER prescribe that to you.

Bro I would be suprised if you get it. I have been on sleeping pills for years due to a sleep problem. First saw a specialist when I was in middle school and have been on something since and still they have not pulled that out of the hat yet. You will definately have to try the norms first I would think. Ambien is not to bad though, and I'm on lunestra now
(just switched last week) and I'm liking it.

Actually, that was part of the plan . Technically you can't offer a patent on a natural substance but this is one way they (FDA) got away with it.

Anyways it's not all that difficult to get a prescription. I've had one for almost two years and I'm under 25. It's really great stuff. One of the cleanest, safest, most effective substances I've ever used.

In short you'll need to find a good open minded doctor. Preferably a psychiatrist or sleep doctor. But first you'll need a reason. It's current primary FDA indication is for narcolepsy but almost any prescription drug can be prescribed for what's called "off-label" use. I take it for anxiety related issues.

The drug company that sells GHB (brand name Xyrem) is working on getting it's next indication for EDS (excessive daytime sleepiness). This will allow them to market to a much larger group of patients and most likely make it a little easier to obtain a 'script for. Unfortunately most doctors only information they know about GHB is what they've heard from earlier media reports bashing it.

GHB is impossible to find

Where there's a will there's a way but man that stuff is bad news. I was mentally addictted to that stuff for 3 yrs. I always passed out on it and it cost me a very serious relationship of 6 yrs. Do your best to stay away from it because you really never hear of any positive outcomes from people who use that stuff.

I used it for sleep a lot when contest dieting, and found it knocked me out fast, but then I woke up 3 hours later, and could not get back to sleep without taking more. That was all fine till I took the two doses too close together, and thought I was going to diet the next day, projectile vomiting and the whole 9 yards

I'm sorry to hear that but don't dismiss something completely just because you personally had a problem with it. Between my doctor (who routinely prescribes it for more than sleep) and myself we know of many positive experiences using GHB long-term.

we don't talk about GHB here, it's the hottest product out there and is watched....
