Hi All
Looking for some advice, I have lost over 3 stone over to the last 12 months, without dieting, i was getting stomach pains but kept ignoring it, in the end i went to the doctors and after test ulcers were found - these have been treated, i am now eating normally again and feel normal again
now here is my question/problem
I had to buy many new clothes to accommodate my new slimmer figure, and now i am okay again i wouldn't mind keeping it off.
I am fairly happy at the weight i am now because i was a few stone overweight before the ulcers.
I have lost a lot of muscle am generally weak, no where near as strong as i was. so i need advice on how to gain strength and muscle but not balloon up in weight, is this possible? i have been thinking of doing a healthy maintenance diet to avoid weight gain, along with yoga or pilates and some light weights - i still have quite a bit of fat due to the weight not coming off with exercise i have done no weight training to maintain the muscles during the weight loss caused by illness.i basically want to stay the same weight but reduce my body fat levels under 10% so you can my abs and i have lean ripped looking body.
any experienced members got answers to the following
1.which is best yoga or pilates - for my goals of getting ripped
2.weight training - which type?
3.cardio - yes or no? what type
4.diet, what type?
cheers guys
