getting crazy DOMS on cycle after taking a week off

My legs are so sore to the point I can't really walk today and yesterday (i worked them out 2 days ago). I was forced to take a week off because I got sick. It had been 1 1/2 weeks since I had trained legs. Is this normal? Obviously off cycle this happens all the time but I am on cycle so I thought this wasn't supposed to be as severe. week 9 to be exact

Yes.... and ????? If I miss even one leg day it hurts like freakin crazy on my next leg day..... On cycle you're going to be lifting (ideally) more then you would normally, so ya, that's going to hurt someitmes... it'll get easier as your body adjusts..

I stay extremely sore for about 5 days on each bodypart even on tons of juice. I haven't missed a workout since i started lifting so cant comment on what its like if you take a week off. in my opinion sorness = good, if you are not sore after a workout then you didn't fully stimulate the muscle.

Your cortisol levels are probably high. That is why you are getting sick as well. These stress hormones can wreak havoc on your body. There are some supplements that can help with this such as PS. PP sells a good product like this I believe. I would also be interested in your post cycle and if you ran nandrolone or a derivative such as tren. You may just need to hit up some HCG because you are way more shutdown than you think. As always everyone feel free to PM any questions I'd be happy to help you guys out.

This is a 100% false statement. I think I may have even read somewhere that the soreness of your muscle has nothing to do with its growth.

I never get sore after a workout and I am always growing.

See what happens next leg workout .

always give your self time to get back into the swing of things even when "On"

Yes I am about to order some hcg. my PCT is going to be nolva 40/40/20/20 and clomid 100/100/50/50. I know it's not the typical elitfitness pct but it's what everyone uses everywhere else so I am going to stick with it

i didn't say you aren't going to grow if you don't get sore after a workout but i feel that if you fully stimulate the muscle it will be sore and this is where the most growth happens.

If I take about 2 weeks off I get sore, but after getting into the swing of things I rarely get sore and my workouts are pretty intense.

This last leg workout I had was the first time I did squats without shoes. It felt great but I know I hit muscles that I've rarely hit before cause I feel a deep muscle soreness when squatting down and standing up (not lifting, getting my kid in and out of the tub, lol) and I'm currently on.

Still false. Reaching growth potential is not specifically noted by lactic acid build up. Extensive time spent in ANAEROBIC respiration, IS what causes DOMS. Volume training is USUALLY the culprit.

to the OP: When I am on cycle, I hit the gym relentlessly. Sometimes, not even taking a day off every week (NOT recommended) And, I DO get sore. I notice though, when I am ON, it is EASIER and MORE POSSIBLE to train WITH SORENESS. Almost, as if my muscles ARE healed, but there is still a fair amountof ACID in them.

Hope this helps.

Soreness is not caused by lactic acid build up, lactic acid is eliminated within minutes of excercise. Sorness is caused by microtears in the muscle.
