Wow, I just got back into MMA recently, and I'm fucking out of shape. I've always had bad cardio but not this bad. I went a good 5 minutes and I was completely gased. Throat was killing me, felt the urge to throw up, and I had no energy to go anymore rounds. I fucking hate that feeling. I hate giving up because I'm too exhausted.
I've also gained 30-40lbs since the last time which might attribute to it, but this is pathetic. When I used to wrestle at 130, I was able to beat people in heavyweight classes. For some reason I've lost my upper body strength, and cardio, even though I hit the gym constantly. I was seriously a fucking beast at 130. Literally stronger than most of the people on the team. I didn't have the bench press power compared to them, but I had a strength which was sick.
Anyone got any tips or routines to build better cardio and endurance?
