Gear and Vitamins

I sometimes just take 1 multi vitamin and thats it, glutamine, creatine and all that mumbo jumbo is bs, same with caffeine, ephedrine aspirin crap and all those herb crap extract, i definately do not take any glucosamine and zinc or any of that crap. waste of time and money.

If you do not like to use supplements then that is your buisness. Your reason for not is one that is personal and nothing more. There is no way you can get all the nutrients you need on a daily basis for muscle repair and growth from food alone. Supplements are very important in a bodybuilders arsenal whether one competes or not.

The less pills the better. Just eat salad. This supplement industry is full of garbage in my opinion, the less the better when it comes to supplementation. Eat real food including your vitamin intake, should all be real food.

This is poor advice. Studies have shown that you'd have to get roughly 6000 cals a day of specific foods to get all your recommended daily intake of vitamins and minerals. No way anyone can do that. I suggest you take a vitamin 3 times a day if you're training hard.

Animal Pak, can't be beat, everyone acts like its expensive but if you shop around you can get the 44pak can for $17-18.

dont know who zk is but he seems to have made a lot of enemies here. anyhow he hit the nail right on the head. vitamins big old waste of money. eat well, live well, lift hard, sleep well, and shoot steroids. :o

don't know about anybody else but Glucosamine and Chondroitin keep my knees from hurting. i've tried not using the stuff and bam, start experiencing pain in my knees. it's well worth the little bit of money i spend on it. beats the hell out of taking anti-inflamatory meds or methotrexate shots.

Truth is I was raised to supplement my diet with vitamins. My parents always had a big tray of Vit's/Min's sitting at the breakfast and dinner tables. Both are in their late 70's, and my Grandpa will be 99 in March. I'm the only lifter in my family.
I'm not saying the supplements account for my family's longivity, but it didn't hurt.
Basically I'm just maintaining a similiar regiment that was ingrained into me all my life.
If I wasn't a lifter I'd recommend a Muti, C, and Saw Palmetto for males over 40.

Based on research, again, this is poor advice.
