I disagree.....the powerlifters I know are pretty laid back and dont give a damn about your sexuality.

Notably though, I dont know of any gay powerlifters!!

Any sport where muscular men wear speedos is going to attract queers. However powerlifters tend to be homophobic. I'm glad I'm a powerlifter.

You're right -- that's B.S. Most homophobe's are just closed minded folks...some are my friends. There are gay homophobes, as well. I attempted suicide at 16 because I couldn't deal with myself...it's out there.

Bodybuilding also isn't exclusively about gay men chasing "beefcake," either. I actually don't find most bodybuilders attractive. The reason many flock to health clubs and bodybuilding is because gay men are typically more concerned about their appearance than straights. There you go...I just made a heterosexual stereotype.

I have never understood how something that used to be illegal (sodomy) has all of a sudden become a socially accepted "alternative lifestyle". Hasn't anyone ever heard of Sodom and Gomorrah? They were DESTROYED because, among other things, the people were participating in homosexuality. "Man shall not lie with man, it is an abomination." But now some churches want to accept this as an "alternative lifestyle". How long will it be before someone declares pedophillia as an "alternative lifestyle"? I can't believe that a gay man thought there was a problem with him wanting to be a Boy Scout leader! Talk about keeping the fox in the henhouse - give me a fucking break!

As far as I am concerned, if someone is a homosexual, they should keep it to themself, along with all the other behavioral problems they may have that they need to correct. Don't tell me about it because I'm not interested in hearing about someone else's behavioral problems.

The Bible is a bunch of crap. How many of you have actually read it instead of just "learning" from the wisdoms of preachers and televangelists? There's so much in there that just doesn't not apply today. Here's a brief example: Do you eat pork, bacon, or ham? Then, according to the Bible, you're now unclean, and that's a sin.

Stop looking at it as something that a bunch of rules. Read for entertainment value. That's about all it's useful for now.
