gay subculture within bodybuilding

i dont udnerstand why the gay part of bodybuilding is talked about so much,why not the gay part of football or how about hockey,its everywhere just not in bodybuilding.
and heterophobic ???? i know alot of gay people who dont hate strait people,treat everyone like a human regardless of sexual orientation,fuck society is getting more shallow with everyday,im hetro and dont have a problem with homosexuals and i expect them to treat me the same which all ive met have

No. I do not mean that "everybody is gay but in denial."

I mean that most straight men don't want to deal with the reality of how many of the men around them on a daily basis don't share their degree of straightness.

I've only been to two bbing shows but I swear I can feel the gay vibe out of the spectators (not homophobic BTW). I personally know one of the photographers for Muscle and Fitness and he's gay and he says that there is a huge homo subculture within bodybuilding. It's my guess that there is a lot of latent homosexuality in the bodybuilding community. What are you guys' thoughts on this?

Latent homosexuality? Not so sure. (then again, I don't hang out with pro bodybuilders that much.) Lotta those guys have always struck me as really, really, really straight. But look at it this way. As a gay man who lifts, I find a muscular body attractive. Anybody who spends lots of time in the gym, and perhaps isn't completely straight, might show the same interests. Sexuality is a really grey turf - many people fall between the categories of completely straight, or completely gay. So, maybe some competitive bodybuilders have "tendencies", and maybe they act on them (hopefully with consenting partners). Not like it's pedophilia or anything (which IS more often committed by heterosexuals).

If this M&F photog says it's out there, maybe it is. My guess is that if it's out there, it's pretty damn discrete. (by the way, there's a gay bar in Venice CA called "roosterfish" that attracts quite a few bodybuilders; dunno if they're competitive types though.)

in 1st Corinthians, chapter 17, verses 1-9, it states that sex without marriage is so wrong, that if you have to have sex, it's better to be married than to burn (in Hell).

The Bible is rife with inconsistencies and ridiculousness like I've stated above. I'm the son of a preacher; I didn't buy it when I was a kid, I don't buy it now. Don't use the Bible to justify your own bigotry and ignorance.

INCORRECT, Sir.
Onan's sin was "spillinh his seed" when he was supposed to raise up progeny for his deceased brother. In that time, when a man died withoput first having had children, it was that man's brother's lawful duty to impregnate the widow so that his brother would have progeny through him. Onan refused to allow this to happen, and he was struck down for that.
