Gas $10 a gallon???

i dont know. i heard on the news that it is going to slow down here soon. the president is ordering and investigation into price gouging also. a lot of statioons are using this as a time to jack the prices up without need. but yea i heard it will stop soon.

No wonder the dealships have been pushing trucks-must've known it was coming. My dodges will probably be worth about $5.00 each.
 
hey Jack - gas stations at 11/Hoover are at 3.25, a gas station at 12/Van Dyke is at 2.99....go and make sense out of this

I was going through Southfield and Redford yesterday and saw one at Telegraph and 10 mile for 3.19 and one at Telegraph and Joy for 3.09

This is completely insane...the stations you mention are within minutes of each other!!
 
The real problem is at the top, most gas stations are only making a few cents per gallon and that gets ate up with credit card fees and drive offs. Im sure theres plenty raping people but I would say most are not. I know an owner and he should me the latest wholesale quote yesterday and it was $3.04 and he was selling at $3.06. Despite what many think, gas is not high profit for the gas stations themselves. All the crap inside is where they make their $.

yea that why the shit in there costs a fortune. just like the movies. i worked there and found out the theater doesnt make a dime on the movie ticket. it all goes to the movie industry. they make their money off the concession food. thats why it cost $5 for popcorn.

That's why I only go to movies in the winter while wearing a coat so I can sneak in a pack of nutter butters.

now i bet you didnt know that you are allowed to bring in your own food. they cant stop you. the movie industry made a deal with the movie theaters. when i worked there i found KFC buckets, taco bell, all sorts of candy. but yea you are aloud to bring in food from outside.

Yeah a while back i saw a gas station with the gas prices at 2.57 for regular
and the station RIGHT next door was 10c cheaper
thats gouging if i ever heard it

actually gouging is when the stations call each other and they ALL raise their prices at the same time above what it should be so you dont have a choice but to pay their price. the fact that one station puts it at one price and another puts it at a different price is their choice. i know the mayor of jacksonville owns gate gas and he put an automatic 10 cent reduction on all his stations for a week when the gas shot up last year. they can lower it all together they just cant raise it together above what it shoudl be to make more profit.

Good. That should unplug the pauperinfested highways and clear it for those than can afford to drive
