this was during a bulking cycle, and i was retaining a little water and bloat around the midsection, but my bf is not high and my abs are hard to see normally

I've said this a number of times before, for an advanced lifter/bodybuilder, I dont believe its possible to lose fat and gain mass at the same time, its too damn hard just to gain mass period. But there can be exceptions, ie, say you have been clean for a while, and have lost a bunch of muscle mass. Then you jump on a cycle, even in a calorie deficit, you may be able to put on mass that you already had before.
With people newer to training, the rules can be very different

Being an endmorph ain't that bad like people make it to be , I took a vacation for 4 months before starting this regimen and I wasn't eating protein at all , no training , only junk food for 4 months and still only lost around 3 pounds of muscle , and that is with no protein and no training for 4 months , ok I was eating high calories but all junk , I should have lost more than 3 lbs of muscle that is for sure .

My last cycle was 2002 eating 2000 cals for 8 weeks , very small doses of EQ ( 350 week) , winny ( 50 ED ) and HGH ( 2 IU ED ) and still gained something like 8 pounds of muscle .

I can get fat by just looking at food , but I also can grow by just looking at the weights , so it is a double edge sword .

That last sentence is me in a nutshell. man, good to know there are others in this boat that hears the donuts calling to them at 3AM. Damm entemens........*drool* I must of missed this post when it started so good work bro those are awesome results.

>>> Exactly , I was 4 MONTHS OFF THE GYM and off protein , I was just eating junk food and relaxing , I have been working out and dieting for my whole life so I said : " You know what ? I need a break " , and then 4 months without TOUCHING a weight or eating anything close TO DECENT .

I gained a LOT of fat ( of course ) and lost some muscle , just a lil bit .

When I got back to the gym and increased my protein intake dramatically , I really just gained what I have lost in the first place , muscles have memory and it is not hard to get them back to the SIZE they were before you lost them

AND like I said ,I was off CREATINE for 3 years and started using PURE CEE , I am sure it helped me a LOT .


NOw , of course like needsize said Ronnie Coleman can not put on a single pound of mass when DIETING ( caloric deficit ) because he already carries 300 pounds of mass , he is at a point that for him to gain mass he probably need 20.000 calories a day , but I think , and you probably agree that I am pretty different from Ronnie Coleman as he is 300 lbs and 3 % when I am 209 lbs and 12 % .

RARELY instead of 10.000 calories of junk food I would go for like 5000-7000 calories of good stuff , but most of the time was junk food like pizza ( extra cheese , cheddar cheese ) , cheese bread , mexican , double fudge brownies etc , hersheys milkshakes etc.... Those hersheys milkshakes have 100 g sugar each one LOL , after taking it my insulin levels would spike so much and make me so tired that I would HAVE to fall asleep
